COUNCIL CHAMBER -NEXT MORNING-
"I, my family, royal guest, and my kingdom are deeply indebted to you. And in honor of this, I not only reinstate you as court physician but henceforth, you are a free man of Camelot."
Uther chants out and hands Gaius a roll of parchment and the court applauds. Morgana and smile at each other as we clap for Gaius, I could see Merlin was really happy for Gaius because he's clapping his hands really fast before clapping him on the shoulder once Gaius walks over by him too. Both of them leave to go into town to go shopping in the market after Gaius wanted to check that if I have a concussion or anything else. I told him that it was sort of sore, but he still wants someone to be looking after me just in case if I have more pain. Sir O'Conner was the one who looks after me as Arthur and some of the knights had to go out on patrol again with the King.
"Sir O'Conner, may I ask you something?"
He walks closer to my table, pointing to a seat asking if he can sit down. I nod as he does.
"Yes My Lady, what seems to be on your mind?" He asks.
"I've grown to have feelings for Arthur, but I'm afraid to act on them, and honestly I don't understand why it's so hard for me to tell him my feelings as of late. And yet, I know he feels the same for me. What do you think should I do?" I ask him, needing someone else that I can trust to talk to about this whole thing between me and Arthur.
"My Lady, you should tell him when you think it is the right time, don't ever be afraid to show the person you like or even love what they mean to you. I see the way he looks at you where you're around, even when you're by his side. You make him smile like I haven't seen before, I see you doing all of the same things that I've been saying right at this moment. And one thing that you need to remember is to just be yourself because you're strong, kind-hearted, beautiful, and just between you and me I've always thought you and him would be a perfect match."
Sir O'Connor explains making me smile at him too, as he does the same as he places a hand on mine in understanding as he nods.
"Thank you for your advice and kind words, Sir O'Conner." I say smiling at him as he then gets up from his chair bowing his head at me as he heads out of my chamber doors. A few minutes pass by as Sir Leon comes into my chambers after he knocks on the door.
"My lady, the King, his ward, and the prince would like for you to join them at breakfast this morning." I get up from my chair at the table as I'm escorted by Sir Leon to the great hall where Arthur, Morgana, and Uther are sitting at the big table. Uther's the first one to rise from his chair and comes walking over to me hugging me after saying good morning to me.
"I would like to speak in private with you after we're done if that's alright with you?"
He asks in my ear so the other two wouldn't hear him. I nod as he then walks back to his chair and sitting down as Morgana and I hug and she leads me over to the table sitting down by her again.
"I'm glad to see that you are doing much better because I was very worried about you, My Lord." I tell Uther, seeing him smiling and giving me a nod after.
"I'm thankful that I'm alright now." Uther says. I bow my head in understanding as we talk about many other different things. Until Arthur had to leave to train some new recruits that had just arrived and an hour or so later, Morgana leaves as she was going back to her chambers.
"Lady Mira, for the last few weeks I've been thinking I should appoint you as my second Ward because I see the way you and Morgana have grown close as if you are like sisters. Even how you and Arthur have grown close as well, I see how he looks at you, and I'm happy you have each other to talk to, and I would be glad if you took this royal position. I know those two would agree with me. Also, I will announce the good news in two days' time."
Uther explains to me, placing a hand on top of my own. I was in slight shock at what he was saying now, but still hiding my shock easily.
"Why thank you, that's very generous of you My Lord."
I say smiling, as he does the same, we talk for a bit before he had to meet with his council about a few things and I stroll around the castle corridors with my book in hand after getting it from my room. I lose myself in the pages of my book for quite some time. The window next to me is open as I feel the cold wind hitting my face now, making my hair move around in the air slightly. I shiver due to how cold the wind actually was as I get up to go back to my chambers. I smile to myself realizing that tomorrow is the first of September, as my birthday is coming up shortly too. I know that I never really had the chance to celebrate it, but I know that's going to change for the better because I'm around people that care about me now more than ever. Due to me not sleeping so much, I rest in my bed for a few hours.

It's late afternoon once I wake up again, getting out of my bed as I see a few things of food on my table. I pick a few things for my plate and start to eat.
"So, what did you and Uther talk about?" Morgana says standing against one of my open doors, smiling at me now as she enters my chambers and sits down next to me.
"He wants to appoint me as the second King's Ward because of how close I am to you and Arthur. I thought it was nice of him, but I wasn't sure how you would feel about it." I tell her, only for her to look at me confused a little.
"I think it's perfect because you're my best friend, well I count you as a sister, so yes I agree it's a brilliant idea!" Morgana exclaims wrapping me in a hug happily. We talk and laugh together for a bit before we hear:
"What are you two laughing about so much?" We turn seeing Arthur strolling in my chambers now.
"Morgana and I were discussing the book that I have been enjoying lately, how was training?"I ask holding up my book to him slightly.
"It was fine, some of the men still need practice but thanks for asking Mira."
Arthur says smiling at me, making me slightly blush also. Morgana wouldn't stop smirking at me, only for me to slightly glare for her to stop, but we only both start laughing together.
"Sire, Lady Morgana, the King would like to speak to both of you."
Sir Leon comes into my chambers to get tell them. Both of them slightly frown from what I can see as they head to where the King is so I just finish reading the last few chapters of my book now.
