I woke up to see I'm at a the police station feeling startled and hungover and tired even though I just apparently woke up, though I had no recollection on how, when, or where I went to sleep I wasn't that surprised to find I was in a different place from where I last remembered, so I looked around the room and quickly noticed that I wasn't on my parent's yacht anymore. It seemed that I'm at a police station in one of those dreary interrogation rooms that you saw on law and order.

"Glad you could join us Ms. Davis'' a low monotone voice said, disrupting the silence and the woozy feeling rushing through my head. Startled to find I wasn't alone I turned my head to the police officer that was sitting right in front of me.

"Who are you and what am I doing here," I asked, a sense of dread already beginning to settle deep in my gut. The police officer snickered at my question looking at me intensely and stated

"I'm homicide Detective Smith and I'm here to lead the investigation of the murder of Rachel White"

I stared in horrified silence, so many emotions like disbelief, surprise, and then suddenly sadness. I felt sick all the way to my soul at the thought that my best friend Rachel White had been murdered, gone out of my life just like that and I didn't even remember. Detective Smith allowed me a couple of minutes of shock and time to process.

"H-how did it happen?'' I asked shakily, desperately trying to hold myself together and tune out the thoughts that were desperately trying to breakthrough.

Officer Smith gave me what I could only guess was a sympathetic smile and said "At your party, Ms. Davis." he stated briskly then he took a deep breath and started again "I'm truly sorry for your loss and offer my condolences but I don't have time for this I have a serious job to do and that's to figure this out so you, other loved ones, and the town could have peace of mind, so I ask for your cooperation. So Ms. Davis I need you to think as clearly as you can for me, Do you know how many people were on your yacht?"

I tried to think as quickly as I could trying to ignore the woozy feeling in my brain and the reality of the situation slowly starting to set and loom over me.

Finally, I said "200 or more but I'm not hundred percent sure it could've been more"

"Alright, Next Ms. Davis do you have any sort of guest list? I need to know about everyone who attended that party" Officer Smith asked distractingly, pulling out a small legal pad to write down what I said.

"Oh no, I don't do that, I just let people come and do whatever they want." I said shamefully, suddenly feeling sick in my stomach about the possibility that my uncaring attitude could've been the error in my ways and would have led to the death of Rachel.

Detective Smith looked up from his writing and gave me a serious look "Harper, what I'm about to tell you is going to be shocking and vile information but I need you to remember everything that you saw and what you heard. Your friend Rachel had been attacked by her Aggressive Murder leaving behind a deep bruise on her neck shaped like a handprint then brutally stabbed several times with a knife" he finished

I stared at him with an open mouth whilst my heart dropped down to my stomach, felt my head getting dizzy and my eyes starting to burn. I rushed to take a couple of deep breaths while Detective Smith patiently waited.

Once I was calmed down to the best of my abilities I started "No I do not know what happened, me and Mason, Grace, Ava, Ethan, and even Rachel all drank a lot and took some'' I stopped feeling weary to continue "stuff... but after that, it's all a blur honestly" I said in a voice barely above a whisper trying not to look the Detective in the eye. Officer Smith looked up at me and asked

"Who set up the party"

"Rachel and I did" I answered

"Did Rachel have any drama between you and her friends or anyone in town? You know typical teenage girl stuff" Detective Smith asked

I looked at him and frowned "I don't know, a lot of people liked Rachel. I'm pretty sure the whole town did." I started pausing taking a break for him to write before saying "but do I think it's impossible for her to meet some not so nice people on the way who might've been jealous of her reputation? no."

Detective Smith looked back up at me and sighed "That's all, for now, I'll contact you if I need more from you but because you and your friends are known as the main hosts of the party and were close with Rachel I have reason to see you guys as my main suspects. Don't be offended it's just a safety precaution"

I stared at Detective Smith once again shocked by the words that just came out of his mouth. I found it hard not to get offended by his actions.

"Rachel's body will be thoroughly examined. But if you want to tell me the "stuff' you guys took it would be heavily appreciated." he said making a move to grab his notebook again when all of a sudden the door burst open to reveal a woman detective, who I presumed to be his partner by the recognition I saw on Detective Smith's face. File in her hand she said to Detective Smith

"I think you need to see this right now"

After that nothing had been the same.
