I have sometimes thought about how I would die, as everyone does. A sudden car crash, cancer at an old age, an aneurysm. But I never imagined I would die like this, even taking into account the events of the last couple of months.

I eyed him from across the room, his black eyes looked back at me pleasantly.

It was a stupid way to die, naively, bleeding out-my blood soaking the floorboards. I knew that if I'd never gone to Forks, I wouldn't be dying right now, but even at this moment, I couldn't regret that decision. All good things must come to an end I suppose.

He smiled and crouched down, perched ready to kill.
