Prologue

Ashlee's POV

I'm from upstate New York and I've spent my entire life here. I'm 18 years old, and lost my dad a couple of months ago and mom has been acting different ever since. My mom got this new job where she has to travel, and well we're moving to Los Angeles, California. I've never been to California and I'm really nervous about moving all the way across the country, and I don't want to. But, my mom said I can't stay here alone when she's going to be all the way in L.A. So I have no other choice but to go with her.
I'll be leaving a lot behind, like my best friends Donna and Jordyn. Their parents have a lot of money and they say they'll come and visit me, so I guess that's a good thing. My boyfriend, or should I say EX boyfriend is someone I most definitely won't miss. So there's one thing I can look forward to. I don't have to see that asshole anymore. Well, better pack my bags and get some rest. I have what my mom says "a big day" ahead of me. This outta be fun.

Drake's POV

I'm from Los Angeles, California. I go to Ridgeway High school, I'm 18 years old, and I'm Probably the most popular guy here. Hell, I am the most popular guy here. I get all the girls and they love me. I gotta say I love being popular. My dad is the owner of this record label and I'm working on my first album, so I guess that's why all the girls love me. I have dates almost every weekend. It's great. The only thing is, my dad always seems busy. Like he never has time for me. I guess he just has to make the money. He says I can't get a job. That I have to be in the music business which is why I'm into the whole singing thing. I guess I like my life here in L.A. I just feel like there's something missing.
