I sigh as I finish once again another novel. "Why can't mother send out people to get me books, even pictures would be fine!" I huff and throw the book at the wall, narrowly missing Ash as he entered. "I see you're displeased again, my princess."
I sigh and nod, "sorry Ash. I just really want to do something other than reading, fencing and tea everyday." Ash nods and then a smile crosses over his features. "Perhaps I may be able to assist you with that princess." I get excited, "really? You'll help me do something fun for once?" He chuckles and nods, "just follow me princess."
I get up happily and follow him out the room, looking around. "What's with the commotion...?" I ask in confusion, noticing the guards rushing around. "Ah, just a emergency drill. Nothing to worry about my princess." I nod a little and follow him down the hallways.
He takes me by the hand and crouches down to my height. "Do you trust me?" I nod at his question and yelp a little when he picks me up. "Good, now promise not to scream?" I furrow my eyebrows, trying to figure him out but nod at his request anyway. "Then let's go," he smirks and jumps out the window.
I'm a girl of my word. Instead of screaming, I let out a loud gasp and tighten my grip on Ash, hiding my face in his neck. "My princess, look." I look up and another gasp escapes my lips. The whole city...at night is, "amazing." I breathe and he frowns.
"Amazing but filled with the scum of the earth. All of them do some sin in any way, shape or form. They need to be cleansed." I wince, feeling his grip tighten as he speaks. "A-Ash you're hurting m-me." I whimper and he looks down at me, loosening his grip and apologizing shortly after.
"It's fine, what're we out here for anyway?" I ask softly, looking around the city as we walk. "I am to keep you safe for when the real show begins." I look up at him, "real show...?" He smiles and pats my head, "you'll understand soon." I start to see flames and grab onto Ash's coat. "A-Ash..." I mumble nervously.
"Don't be afraid my princess, I'm with you." I look at him and notice the angel wings on his back. "Y-You're an a-angel?" I ask in shock. He smiles at me, "yes and I've been guarding you my princess. Now will you come with me?" I hesitate, mother has always told me angels were good but there is such thing as archangels.
"Okay," I take his hand and he picks me up. He starts flying and a thought crosses my mind. "Ash, are you my guardian angel?" He smiles and chuckles a little, "something like that my princess. Now be silent, we're almost there." I nod and become quiet.
We land on a roof and he sets me on a stray box. "My princess, please stay here until I tell you otherwise." I nod and take a seat on the box. Many thoughts run through my head but my main question would be, 'where is mother...?'
Someone seems to be fighting Ash, but I cannot be sure of who due to the darkness around us. "Lord Phantomhive, to show you an example of who you might have truly become, let me exemplify the sister of the Phantomhive. The next Queen and my princess. Celestia Phantomhive."
I've never heard my full name, nor my Mother's for that matter. 'Perhaps the boy is a relative of the sort...?' My hand is grabbed and I am pulled forward. "The Latin translation is literally of the heavens; heavenly." He places a hand to his chest and bows to me, still holding my hand.
"My Princess." I look to the boy, his face looking stricken with what looks to be a mix of surprise and grief. His hair is a navy blue, a darker shade than his eyes and his eyes hold misery, pain and secrets. I tighten my hold on Ash's hand when I see the man with him.
The man has pitch black hair, red eyes and pale skin. His eyes show deceit, hunger and intelligence. "A-Ash I want t-to go back home." I speak as firmly as I can and I don't see Ash smirk behind me. "Why is that My Princess?" I stare at the boy and man a moment longer before covering my eyes in fright.
"They're dark! I don't like it, the boy is burdened and the man is deceiving! I want to leave now!" Ash smirks at my outburst. "You see Lord Phantomhive? You scare even your own sister with your impurities." I start to cry and hear the boy growl.
"What have you done to my sister!?" Ash stands up. "Nothing at all, Lord Phantomhive. I've simply guided her." I shake my head quickly as Ash steps forward, my eyes still shut. "If you're my guardian angel then get me away from here!" Ash bows, "yes my princess."
He goes to pick me up but is stopped by the man. "Sebastian! This is an order, keep Ash away from my sister and kill him!" I gasp and back away, opening my eyes to see the man attack Ash. "This shall be over soon my princess." I nod in fright, too scared to say anything.
The two clash, Ash using his wings and the man using....kitchen knives? 'What a strange situation.'
