Chapter 9, My pentru iubitul meu

(Dem's POV)

I held her hand the whole walk there. I was trying to reassure her, that everything was going to be alright. No one was outside at the moment because it was past curfew. Kate's tattoo still glowed slightly but everyone else's excluding my own was normal now. I took my jacket off and rapped it around her.

I was so happy right now. I knew that there would be heaps of people in the building, heaps of students wondering what happened. I didn't care though. I hoped that everyone was there and saw me holding Kate's hand. Telling everyone that she was mine.

I guess I was the only one happy though. The others seemed kinda mad at Kate. I don't know why though. Kate doesn't seem happy either. I think she is really sad for some reason. I was right.

Just before we walked into the building she ripped away from my grasp and walked threw the room. She sat down on one of the many lounges. I looked at her in shock then I saw that she was crying.

My heart broke seeing her like that. She wasn't even making any noise. Tears were poring down her cheeks like a water fall. She was shaking as well and I watched as several students tried to approach her. They didn't even get close though. Kate's tattoo started to glow again and she pushed the students back with her power.

I couldn't believe that students were starting to draw there own gifts. They saw Kate as a threat. She was new here and no one knew anything about her. Kate was upset though and probably wasn't realizing that she was pushing students into the walls. I saw one guy raise a fire ball above his head. I started to shout out to him but it was too late.

It hit her. She stood up, now she was mad. I saw other people starting to form there own gifts in there hands. People were hurting her, my mate.

"Enough!" I bellowed.

"But my lord, she-" I cut whoever was talking off.

"I said enough! If any of you harm her or someone close to her, it will be your head." I yelled.

"Demetrius, please don't tell me you have feelings for someone like her. I thought we had something special." A girl named Riley pranced up to me. I didn't know what to say. People hardly ever find their mates let alone when they were younger than eighteen. People wouldn't believe me.

I didn't have time to answer though. Kate faced us just as Riley started stroking my arm. Kate was next to my side in a flash. She was holding Riley by the wrist, staring at her with a stare that could kill.

"Don't ever touch him." She growled

"Why not sweetheart. He doesn't love you, he's not yours." Riley smiled at Kate.

"He sure as hell doesn't love you." With that she turned and started walking away.

"Your right he doesn't love me but he is my bonded or are you so blind that you haven't noticed the glowing tattoos." She said not turning back.

Riley was pissed now and launched a sword of ice at Kate. I was faster to react though. I hit the sword with my flames and melted it on the spot. I then turned to Riley anger bubbling inside of me.

"If you ever do that again." I didn't finish. I knew that she got the point.

"You wouldn't do anything, you love me." I was about to protest when Riley crashed her lips onto mine. I was about to push her off when someone did it for me.

I looked at Kate she was just standing there starring at something. I walked towards her and saw that she was starring at Riley. Riley was crouched down on the floor with her head in her hands. She looked like she was in pain.

She looked up at Kate. "No please? Please don't?" She pleaded.

"Pain" Kate whispered.

Then Riley started screaming. I closed the small distance between me and Kate and then saw that her blue eyes were starting to get black patches in them. Again. I looked around to see where everyone else had gone. I then noticed that there was a shield around us. The others couldn't get to us.

"Kate?" I whispered. She glanced at me and tears started running down her cheeks again.

She looked back at Riley.

"Depression" was all she said and then Riley started balling her eyes out. That was when I realized what Kate was doing, she was giving Riley her emotions but worse.

I reached out and grabbed Kate, pulling her to my body like she did to me earlier today. Riley stopped crying and collapsed. The shields were still up though and Kate was still crying.

"Shhhh it's ok. Can you please put the shields down? Then we can go upstairs. It will be alright." I said in a soothing voice. Kate listened to me and there was people around us in a flash. The bonded were standing around us making sure no one harmed us.

"My prince I suggest you let that girl go. She is a danger to everyone's safety." A teacher stood there with guardians behind, obviously waiting for the good to go to take Kate away.

Kate was clinging to me like her life depended on it. I murmured more soothing things to her and she relaxed.

"I apologies but I cannot allow you to take her away." I said calmly like there was no problem.

"Prince if you do not let us take her from you it will have to be by force." The teacher said.

"No! She is just unstable. It is her very first day in the gifted World." I yelled

"She is a danger to other's lives. She seems to have an inner demon that she cannot control. I am sorry my prince." As he said that one of the guardians stepped forward.

All of a sudden I was laying on the floor. The guardian was using air pressure to keep me and the other bonded on the floor. I looked up to see the other guardians dragging Kate towards the door. I knew she couldn't fight back any more. She was worn out.

I used all of my power to fight against the pressure holding me down. I broke through and flew to my feet. I ran towards Kate. She saw me and started struggling again. One of the guards raised their hand. They were going to hit her.

"No!" I screamed. Other guards were on me then holding me down.

" A chosen" I yelled. "She is a chosen." I yelled in defeat.

The teacher walked towards me and crouched down in front of me.

"I promise you that nothing will happen to her if she co-operates" he smirked at me. I don't think he believed me. I had to do something. I had to tell them about the oath.

"That's not all." I sighed. "Kate put a sound shield around us." She nodded at me

"No more my Prince. We are leaving." The teacher was looking at me like I was a nuisance.

"Take the jacket off." I stared at Kate. Willing her to do as I ask. She took it off and everyone gasped.

"We apologize. Will you give us the honor of telling us who this girl is." The teacher mumbled.

I nodded at him. The guards had let me up again and i walked to Kate's side. I was about to tell them when Kate grabbed my hand and stepped forward.

"My name is Katerinia. I am the left oath." That was all she said.
