The rain battered the against the windows of the cozy house the four teenagers were huddled in. Thunder and lightning flashed through the stormy clouds. The wind whipped and lashed, threatening to blow away everything in it's way. One of the teenagers inside the house noticed the racket happening outside.
"Wow, the weather outside is kind of horrifying" the blonde haired girl said. The wind whistled outside, as if confirming her statement. The other three teenagers averted their gaze away from the anime they were watching and stared outside.
"Hmm, I don't think I'll be able to walk home in this weather. Is it okay if I stay the night?" a girl with long black hair asked her friend.
"Sure, I'll talk to my parents about it. I think it's a good idea that you guys all stay the night because of the condition the weather is right now." said a dark haired boy. His friends all nodded in agreement.
The four teenagers were huddled around a TV in the living room of the house. The group had come over to celebrate their friend's 16 birthday. They were re-watching their favourite anime Haikyuu and had planned to pull out an all nighter, despite having the first day of school tomorrow.
"Happy birthday Kenji!" The three friends cheered at the dark haired boy as he blew the candle on the cake.
"Sweet sixteen!" Yelled the girl with black hair. All four friends smiled and held out their plates so they could get some cake.
"Oi, cut me a big slice k?" a boy with brown, loosely curled hair asked his friend. The rest of the group yelled in agreement saying they wanted a big slice of cake as well.
"Is food all you guys care about?" Keiji asked with a mocked hurt expression." What about me?" He continued, wiping away imaginary tears.
"Yes, now give me the cake," the girl with black hair said, glaring at Kenji with her dark blue eyes.
"Mizuki! You came to my birthday gathering just for some cake?" Kenji replied outraged. Mizuki laughed, a happy, sweet sound that made everyone else smile too. She snatched two plates of cake from Kenji's hands.
"Here you go Ichika! Your welcome, I had to grab these from the clutches of Kenji" chirped Mizuki proudly as she passed the plate to the blonde hair girl beside her. Ichika smiled, her friend Mizuki was always light hearted and caring. Although when a person got onto Mizuki's bad side, they would never see daylight again. Ichika shuddered as she thought about Mizuki being angry. She was lucky that Mizuki was never angry at her but she had experienced and seen some horrifying things that would happen if someone pissed off Mizuki. However, Mizuki rarely got mad, at most she would be irritated or annoyed. So, Ichika wouldn't have to worry about seeing Mizuki's scary side that often.
Ichika was a bubbly and cheerful person. She was nice to basically everyone but usually stayed calm and peaceful. When she got mad, it would usually be a small tantrum (if ever) and nobody was scared of her at all. She was nice to be around though, almost like the angel of the group. She kept everyone in check and always seemed to have her light blonde hair neatly styled, no matter what circumstance.
"Hey, why didn't you grab me any?" The brown haired boy whined. He tried to grab a plate from his dark haired friend Kenji. Fortunately, Kenji gave his friend the cake, without him having to grab it from him.
"Haruki, my only true friend. You came to my birthday gathering not just because of the cake right?" Kenji asked.
Haruki shook his head and stuffed his mouth full of the birthday cake. Kenji sighed dramatically and ate his cake.
Kenji was a dramatic person, he liked to tease his friends, much like Haruki. Although his humour and Haruki's were different. Though, they both were funny and outgoing. Kenji however had his ego in control unlike Haruki, who would brag about being good at volleyball, only to get beaten by Mizuki. Kenji liked to keep most of his thoughts to himself and didn't brag or talk much about himself in general. He was smart, Kenji found out more about others before choosing to reveal himself. Although he is very outgoing, nobody knew very much about him.
Haruki was outgoing and tended to flirt a lot with other girls. He was sometimes annoying and like to tease and compete with basically almost everyone. He was fun to be around though, the one that hypes up the party. He talks about himself but doesn't reveal much about his family, choosing to keep that one thing about himself secluded from others. He is usually described as annoying and answers everyone with a stingy remark that's a half joke, but is also true and kinda insulting at the same time.
Haruki, Ichika, Kenji and Mizuki ate the rest of their cake and kept on watching Haikyuu, ignoring the storm going on outside.
"Omg it's Oikawa!" Squealed Ichika as Oikawa appears on the TV screen. The Haruki, Kenji and Mizuki all rolled their eyes. Ichika was obsessed with anime characters, especially Oikawa. Mizuki sighed.
"Ichika, you sound like one of his fangirls. Plus, we hear enough squealing about him in the anime " Mizuki said. Ichika huffed, and crossed her arms. Ichika didn't think she was 'fangirling',was she?
"What's so good about Oikawa?" Haruki asked Ichika. Mizuki sighed, Ichika was probably going to rant on and on about how charming and handsome Oikawa was. Mizuki personally didn't like Oikawa that much. She thought he was rather ignorant and was a player. Plus, she always experienced second hand embarrassment from watching the girls in Haikyuu fangirl over Oikawa. But Mizuki was going admit that Oikawa does look really good. Ugh. Why did the character designers have to be so good at their job? As Ichika started ranting about Oikawa, Mizuki realized the TV was glitching. The storm outside was probably interfering with the TV but Mizuki has a bad feeling about this. Mizuki's eyes widened as a bright bolt of lightning zapped onto the TV. Ichika fell silent as she watched in shock as the TV was shot by lightning. Before the brightness of the lightning swept across the room, Mizuki caught Haruki's eye and saw a reflection of her own; shocked and surprised. The teenager barely had time to process what had happened. Then the TV exploded and the ground gave away. The teenagers were swept away into the world of Haikyuu.
