I would have been back on my home island of Berk racing with the others, but instead I chose to go exploring with Hiccup and Toothless. Stormdancer let out a screeching roar as lightning flew from her mouth in excitement, I looked at Hiccup as we started to fly up, Hiccup's mask covered his face to protect it from the wind. He and I built our suits from Toothless' and Stormdancer's shedded scales and spikes, mine was a little more pointed then Hiccup's and had a silver shine with blue tips. As we got further up we began to fall Hiccup detached himself to free fall as Toothless looked towards me carefully as I remained on Stormdancer's back,  as we gained speed Hiccup got back onto Toothless as both dragon's wings snapped open and we dove under Seashocker wings and flew to a normal height. Hiccup looked up to see the timberjacks, "how about we pull another flight" Hiccup suggested and Toothless and I deflated in annoyance, "Hiccup you're going to get yourself killed one of these days" I said looking towards him and he chuckled "I will be fine Sam" he said smiling at me and I sighed shaking my head in amusement. 

Hiccup unclasped the rope and got his flight suit ready, I watched and felt Stormdancer adjust under me and I looked at her. "What's up girl?" I asked and she huffed out uneasily "I know it's a bad idea but we will be okay" I promised her and she cooed at me warmly as we made our after Toothless and Hiccup, Hiccup glanced at me before he opened the wings and the top fin to glide. I gasped as I watched him my eyes wide, he couldn't see my eyes but I remained and watched as Toothless glanced as he shot plasma under Hiccup to keep him up. I smiled as I settled gently but fear shot through me when I saw the rock column ahead "Hiccup!" I yelled loudly as Toothless worked his hardest to beat the air and Stormdancer too worked her way as Toothless wrapped around Hiccup Stormdancer shot the rocks making it explode. 

I gasped as we all hit the ground I stood quickly the wind was knocked from my lungs, I looked at Toothless who made a groaning noise and he stood up and shook himself before glaring at Hiccup. Stormdancer shot up and nudged me worried as I removed my helmet and shook out my long dirty blonde hair, it was brown at the roots and fell into blonde. I looked at Hiccup hands on hips and helmet in one, "really Hiccup?" I asked raising my unscarred eyebrow. Hiccup shrugged as he rambled about mechanical issues in Toothless' tail before he looked out and smiled "wow..." He said as a rock flew and hit Hiccup in the shoulder "awe is the big baby pouting" Toothless mimicked him as I watched the exchange in amusement. Hiccup went to hug Toothless, Toothless stood and waddled to the ledge and Hiccup yelped in fear "you wouldn't harm a one legged Viking?" He asked gripping onto Toothless in fear I laughed as Toothless fell back and flopped onto Hiccup's chest as they played, "He's down! And it's ugly! Dragons and Vikings, enemies again, locked in combat to the bitter--" Toothless pins Hiccup "--URFFF!" Toothless licks Hiccup and I laughed loudly "Gaaaaagh! You KNOW that doesn't wash out" He said flicking the saliva at Toothless who used it to wash himself. I laughed and approached Hiccup as he pulled out his map "So what should we name it?" He asked looking at Toothless as I sat next to Hiccup and leaned on him gently, Toothless itches his armpit "Itchy Armpit it is. Whaddya reckon, bud? Think we might find a few Timberjacks in those woods? The odd Whispering Death or two in the rocks? Who knows... maybe we'll finally track down another Night Fury. Wouldn't that be something? So, whaddya say? Just keep going?" I sighed at his false hope knowing Toothless was the last Nightfury and Toothless cooed a 'no'. I forwned slightly kissing Hiccups temple gently whipping the dragon saliva in amusement.

I heard Stormfly screech and Stormdancer shot up in glee her deep green eyes bright and ready, "Hey girl!" I said happily I hugged Astrid as she looked around. "What have you been up to?" I asked smiling and she smirked "well, winning races. What else? The real question is... where have YOU two been?" She said looking between the two of us and I grimaced slightly looking at Hiccup "avoiding my dad" Hiccup said looking at me and I chuckled slightly. "Oh n what happened now?" Astrid asked and Hiccup sighed as I bit my lip, "Oh, you're gonna love this. We wake up. The sun's shining. Terrible Terrors are singing on the rooftop. We saunter down to breakfast, thinking all is right with the world and We get" Hiccup freezes and I laugh slightly as he imitates his father "Son, we need to talk." I let out an all out laugh before I responded "Not now, Dad. We've got a whole day of goofing off to get started." I imitated Hiccup flaring my arms in the process and he looks at me "Okay, first of all, I don't sound like that. What is this character? And second... what is that thing you're going with my shoulders?" I did it again and he grabbed my hands as I giggled, "A truly flattering impersonation. Anyway he goes" Hiccup gets into character again as Astrid nudged me amused at my conversing "You're the pride of Berk, son, and I couldn't be prouder..." I chuckled knowing it was my turn again "Aw, thanks, Dad. I'm pretty impressed with myself, too." I imitate again flaring my hands again as Hiccup grabbed my hands again laughing which caused me to go into another laughing fit "WHEN have I ever done that with my hands?" He asked motioning to me before Astrid spoke up laughing "You just did" she said and I laughed harder. "Okay... just... hold still. It's very serious" I calm down as he continues and Astrid looked at me as I could barely contain myself "You're all grown up, and since no chief could ask for a better successor, I've decided--" Astrid interrupts him "TO MAKE YOU CHIEF! Oh, my gods! Hiccup, that's amazing!" I sighed in amusement as I stood and Hiccup hugged me from behind and I elbowed him gently setting off his spring to his fin and Astrid laughed, "You're gonna wear out the spring coil. The calibration is very sensitive!" I heard the three dragons crash through as they played and I laughed amused "yeah so this is what we are dealing with" he said motioning to me who was still pulled into his chest, "what did you tell him?" Astrid asked and I looked up at Hiccup "by the time he turned around we were already out the door..." Hiccup said "Well, it's a lot of responsibility. The map will have to wait for sure, and I'll need to fly Toothless and Stormdancer, since you two will be too busy..." My blood ran cold as my eyes narrowed on Astrid. "It's not me, Astrid. All those speeches, and planning, and running the village... that's his thing." Hiccup said as he sat down and I joined him, "I think you're missing the point. I mean, chief. What an honor. I'd be pretty excited." Astrid said sitting next to me and looking out, "I'm not like you. You know exactly who you are. You always have. But... I'm still looking. I know that I'm not my father... and I never met my mother.... so, what does that make me?" Hiccup asked before his gaze moved to me and I sighed and I leaned on him sadly. 

"What you're searching for... isn't out there, Hiccup. It's in here. Maybe you just don't see it yet." Astrid said pointing at Hiccup and I sighed nodding gently "she's is somewhat right..." I said warmly before pressing another gentle kiss to his temple and whipped the dragon saliva from my face once again. "Maybe. But, y'know... there is something out there" I followed his gaze "Hiccup..." Astrid said before I motioned to her and she followed my gaze. 

Welcome to the Second book! I will be somewhat more with the movie and I really hope yall don't mind if I go with the script I am just changing it so Sam fits in it since she is the one who falls for Hiccup instead.
