Prologue

Before I start writing, I would like to thank you for giving my book a chance. I do want to say that if you are easily triggered by emotional abuse, self-harm, eating disorders and maybe other negative aspects, then this book might not be for you. This book will also be centred around the theme of BDSM.

DESCRIPTION

In this world there are different types of love. It is given by many but received by few. They say that love is supposed to be patient and kind, it should envy no one. It is never boastful, nor conceited, nor rude; never selfish, not quick to take offence. It keeps no score of wrongs; does not gloat over another's sins, but delights in the truth. Yet that is hard to believe with all the hate that lives inside of our bodies. There is a fine line between those 2 emotions and it can destroy you by trusting it to the wrong person.

Unfortunately, Autumn Grey has a hard time loving herself. She is trying to be her best version but it doesn't seem to be enough. Her parents despise her and see her as a mistake while her sister seems to be the perfect daughter. She believes that she is not good enough and that there is some truth in the hurtful words that are being thrown at her. If you would glance at her, you would see a happy person without any care in the world. But if you really pay attention and look a tiny bit closer, you'll see a girl that is broken and maybe even beyond repair.

Ice Crawford could almost be described as his name. A cold-hearted man that doesn't give two shits about what people think of him. The only relationships that he has are with his parents and brother. He has had some submissives in the past but they were mostly playthings. What most people don't know is that deep inside he has a big and warm heart. The only problem is that he doesn't have that special someone who he can share his love with. Besides, it isn't easy to find someone that enjoys the same kinks.

When Autumn's father had send her to deliver some contracts to Crawford & Co, she didn't expect to meet someone as powerful and dominant as him. Yet, he didn't expect to see someone as beautiful and fragile as her. He wants to get to know her and make her his own but she doesn't want to be a disappointment to him. Ice realises that it is going to take some time for her to let her guard down but he is willing to wait.
