Willie and Alex One Shots (Willex)

You're My, My, My, My... Lover

Uh so ANOTHER TAYLOR SWIFT ONESHOT LOL OMG I learned to play Lover on the drums lol so I thought WHAT IF so enjoy this :) Also, I use some drum terms in this (just the names of the drums) so if you don't understand it just look up the parts of the drum so you can get a better understanding if you need to.

OUTSIDE POV

"I want to play it for him so can you guys like... not be here." Alex told Julie, Reggie, and Luke as they were all standing in the studio.

"Yeah sure. Just don't do anything... you know..." Luke waved his hands around.

"LUCAS PATTERSON!" Julie yelled and threw her songbook at him.

"Yeah, yeah. Whatever." Alex said, picking up his own songbook, stuffing it into his bag then poofing out of the studio.

He poofed to the apartment he and Willie shared.

"Hey, babe." Willie said from his place on the couch. He was watching Schitt's Creek on the TV.

Alex sat down right next to him. "Hey," He kissed Willie on the lips. "Sorry I took so long."

"It's okay. What were you guys doing anyway?" Willie muted the tv and placed his full attention on his boyfriend.

"Just some music... and I have a surprise for you for our one year anniversary."

Willie looked up from where he was messing with the blanket. "Can I see it or hear it?"

"I guess." Alex sighed jokingly.

Willie jumped up and pulled his boyfriend off the couch. They immediately poofed to the studio and Alex walked over to his drum kit. Willie was so happy. He loved surprises. He sat in front of the drum kit, smiling as he watched Alex set up everything he needed.

The music started playing and Willie instantly recognized the song. Alex knew this from the facial expressions that Willie was making.

God, he's adorable. Alex thought as he looked at Willie in awe as he was playing the drums.

Kick, snare. Kick, kick, snare. Kick, snare. Kick, kick, snare. Alex played over and over to the music. Alex knew that "Lover" was Willie's favorite song. He played Taylor Swift all the time but when "Lover" came on he would get in concert mode and belt it to Alex using whatever object was closest to them as a microphone. If they ever got married he would definitely play that at their wedding. But right now they were in the studio. And Alex was playing it for him. Right now, Willie was loving every second. (Yeah... I was gonna turn that into the line from Stand Tall... anyway)

"We could leave the Christmas lights up 'til January. This is our place, we make the rules," Alex sang the lyrics beautifully. "And there's a dazzling haze, a mysterious way about you dear. Have I known you twenty seconds or twenty years?"

There was a build up and Willie always loved that part. Alex changed from just the kick and the snare drum to using the closed hi-hat as well.

"Darling, you're my, my, my, my... Lover." As Alex ended the song Willie stood up and ran at his boyfriend, engulfing him in a huge hug.

"That was amazing." Willie said into Alex's neck.

"I'm glad you liked it." Alex smiled.

"I loved it! You need to play that for me more often." Willie gave Alex puppy dog eyes with his excitedly, happy smile.

"Of course! It's super easy. I can play it for you or just sing it for you whenever."

Willie smiled even more (if that was even possible).

"I love you so much." Willie said, kissing Alex.

"I love you too."
