It was a dark, stormy night as I walked down the old dirt road. My clothes clung to my sides as the rain came down in soft sheets. The dirt road squished underneath my feet as I hastily make my way around a bend. A beautiful, emerald green Redwood forest delicately wound itself around the abandoned road. The starts hone like diamonds against the black of the night. But the moon was merely a dim light amongst the trees. Fog gently settled down in between the trees, careful not to disturb any living thing that sleeps. Creatures ran silently as their shadows eerily danced along the forest floor.
The rain started to pour more and more as I quickened my pace. I hear a twig snap behind me and I start to jog. The coldness made my spine shiver, as my eyes began to scan the surrounding area as I jogged. My nerves slowly began to go crazy, and my heart raced. My palms started to seat and my body shook out of fear. I thought I may be fine if I controlled my nerves and keep my pace. Oh, but was I wrong. I stop dead and my heart picks up and thuds against my chest unevenly. I slowly turn around as someone whispers in my ear. I turn to see a black shadow standing over me. Before I could do anything, I suddenly feel a sharp pain in my left side and I look down in shock. Warm, crimson liquid pours out as I fall to the ground, consumed into blackness.
I woke up in a fairly large room. The walls were dark, and their was minimum lighting. Voices drifted eerily up into the room from down below. I saw the outline of a desk, desk lamp, and an office chair. To my left, I saw a big book case, an in table, and a book laying out open; waiting for it's owner to return to finish it. I had layed back down and stare at the celling, emotions flooding in. Thoughts raced through my mind, but were rudely interrupted when footsteps approach, and stop outside the door. My heart was beating out of control, fear hung low and heavy in the air. I hid under the massive covers, slightly peaking out to see who it was. Suddenly, the doorknob turns ever so softly and agonizingly slow. With out warning, light engulfs the room as the door opens fully. A tall, slender figure stands in the doorway, blocking my view of what is behind them. I cringes as I shrinked back, hiding, as the figure looks straight at me.
The last thing I can remember is this tall figure coming over, and then immense pain in my chest. Time seemed to move in slow motion as I watched this person repeatedly bring this sharp object down into my chest, and watch my blood spray. I was then thrown into a van as I began to loose blood. After a while, the van stops, the doors open revealing the person, and I'm dumped onto the concrete. Somehow that place look familiar. But I'll never know where I was. And I don't care. All that I specifically remember is the black dots that invaded my vision, the pain in my chest, the sound of voices and sirens, and people everywhere.
