Daisy could hardly get out of bed. Tonight the full moon would arise and with it, a real werewolf, if she were to be right.

She didn't attend breakfast, not when all she could think about was the black sky, and monsters below it.

Classes went by in a blur, something that would not at all be good for her grades. She didn't even go to defence against the dark arts. Instead, she visited the kitchens and sat with Maisy until it was done.

"Miss Daisy, you should be in class, students exams are coming up, yes they are."

Daisy swung her legs from the counter she placed herself on, immersed in thinking about nothing.

"I've studied." She simply replied, and then proceeded to watch the elves prepare snacks for the students.

"Is something bothering Miss Daisy?" Surely it was obvious. Daisy wasn't at all surprised. She'd been quiet, jumpy, and now even skipped a class. She wondered if the elf would know about Professor Duras, she must. The elves know everything around Hogwarts. Who gets homesick, the illnesses of students, and when certain students should be taking medication. Even if you didn't know the elf, they knew you.

Daisy looked down to Maisy, who's ears were dropping. "If I ask you something, no matter what it is, are you allowed to tell me the truth?"

The elf shifted uncomfortably. "Maisy can only answer to Mr Dumbledore about some things. Why Miss Daisy?"

"Because..." Daisy started. "I think something bad is going to happen, tonight. I wanted to ask you... if there's a werewolf in the castle."

    And the little elf froze.

"Why must Miss Daisy ask that?!"

"Because if there's a werewolf then someone is going to get hurt! So is there one?" Maisy began pacing back and forth, pulling on her long ears in a stressful manner.

"I need to know!" The elf only became more agitated, and under Daisy's bottom the cabinet started to shake as Maisy hit her forehead off one of the doors.

    "Hey! Hey stop that!"

"Maisy wants to tell Miss Daisy but she is not allowed!" The elf wailed in Daisy's grasp having been forced to stop by the young girl.

"Then don't!" Daisy yelled frantically, holding Maisy tightly.

"Maisy is so sorry that she cannot help Miss Daisy."

Maisy began to steady herself, swaying side to side and clasping her hands above her closed eyes.

"It's alright, I'll figure it out myself."

As displeased and shocked she was at the elf's reaction, Daisy still couldn't shake wanting to explore, and there were still questions needed answers. Even more so after such a reaction. If anything it was a confirmation.

So she went to someone she knew liked a bit of mischief and adventure, and who she trusted not to go blabbing.

    "James."

The bespectacled boy was resting with his red and gold striped feet upon the Gryffindor coffee table, a Quidditch Daily magazine in his hands. He nodded his head upwards at the sound of Daisy's voice, not taking his attention away from his reading.

"What do you know about werewolves?"

The common room was empty. Students at after school clubs or study sessions preparing for their exams.
