Nothing Special (Stereo Kicks/Reece Bibby/New Hope Club)

Tour Rehearsals

A lot has happened since I first met Ella. The X Factor final had passed, Ben won! And we were all so happy for him. Christmas had also gone, I spent it with my family, Reece's family and the boys came over a few days after. It was also now 2015...a new year and I couldn't wait for this year! So many exciting things were going to happen! It was now February...I had been practicing in my bed room with my guitar for the tour as it was only around the corner. I had met up with Reece and the boys a few times since I saw them at New Years and I had also seen Ella and Tia.

Today was the first day of Rehearsals for tour and I was so excited! All the contestants and me were all going to a studio in London to rehearse everything. I had two songs I was singing and I think all the contestants had three songs to sing, I was also joining in the group performances which I was buzzing for! Together we were singing shake it off and never forget. For one of the songs I was singing, I had dancing to do as well, and the other one it was just me and my guitar. The song with dancing in was lips are movin by Meghan Trainor and the song with just me and my guitar was ghost by my sister Ella Henderson.

I arrived at the studio at 10am to hugs from everyone, I had never met Jay James, Stevi or Only The Young so I introduced myself to them all and got I know them a bit better. I said hi to Fleur, Ben, Andrea, Lauren and Stereo Kicks. Reece smirked at me as I got closer to him. I hugged him and he quickly pecked my lips and made sure that no one saw. God I missed everyone! We got told that as we had all been practicing already we had until two o'clock in the afternoon to practice before we have to perform to everyone and rehearse the whole show from beginning to end.

We got taken in to different rooms each to rehearse our songs alone. After a few hours we all rehearsed the group performances, when Fleur and Lauren sang together for never forget, I took fleurs place in singing and me and Lauren stood in the middle as I sang fleurs part which she gave to me. And during shake it off me, Lauren, Besty and Parisa from Only the young sang together. It was all coming together so nicely. It was now 2 o'clock and it was time to go through the whole show from start to finish.

Gradually everyone sang their first song and they were all amazing! It was nice to know that it wasn't a competition any more and everyone could just have fun without having to worry about Sundays and who would be in the bottom two and who would be leaving. Then it was my turn...first I was singing Lips Are Movin, and I was quite nervous, "I can tell you're nervous." Reece said. How can he always tell? "Remember what I told you the first time I met you? I said smile and try your best...do exactly the same now because it worked that time when you did a gig with me...and it will work now. You're amazing at singing, go and smash it!" Reece smiled. I kissed his cheek, said thank you and stood up in front of everyone to start my performance. I looked at everyone and Lauren was the only one who had seen me dance and sing to this song...I glanced over at Lauren, she mouthed good luck to me and put her thumbs up. I looked over to Reece and he smiled at me waiting for me to start. The music came on and I started singing, I had changed it up a bit and at first it was slow before it got faster and I started dancing, there was backing singers and dancers next to me that I was dancing with. At first I just stood still, with the microphone in my hand and the dancers still too. Then the music went up to normal speed and I started dancing, there was no going back now.

I finished the song and everyone started clapping and cheering...Reece and the rest of the boys smirked at me and I just shyly giggled. I sat back down and waited for the next person to go on..."Where did you learn to dance like that?" Reece asked shocked. "Erm...I used to go to a dance school from the age of 5 to 13 so that might have helped." I smiled as I watched Lauren get ready for her next performance. "You're really good!" Reece smiled as the boys nodded, agreeing with him. When Lauren had finished, it was Stereo Kicks' turn to perform and then I was on after that.

I got my guitar ready and stood in front of everyone. "Erm...this song is quite ironic for me to be singing but this is Ghost by my sister Ella Henderson." I smiled. "Wait...what?" Fleur and Ben asked, looking confused as did everyone else apart from Reece. "Oh long story short...my mum and dad broke up before I was born and my dad got a girlfriend and they had a baby together, and that's Ella Henderson, then my mum and dad got back together and had me and my brother. My mum never found out til after my brother was born and me and my brother only found out before Christmas...my mum and dad split up anyway." I smiled. "No way!" Charlie from only the young said. "Yes way!" I giggled making everyone laugh. "So this is an acoustic version Ghost by my big sister Ella Henderson, and I hope you like it." I smiled. I finished the song again to cheering and clapping, I was so happy to be performing with everyone, we were like one big extended family and I couldn't wait to get on the road. X Factor Tour 2015... Here we come!
