The first time I spotted the two who had become the object of my obsession, was in the café I worked in after school. They were so different from each other, yet so clearly brothers. I had the fortune of being the cashier to take their order. The blonde spoke first, dressed from head to toe in white, even pristine gloves. How he managed to keep all the white so impeccable was beyond me.

"Good Evening, my dear. Could I get one of those sweet caramel macchiatos and...hm, a cinnamon roll." He said, his voice sweet and masculine. His smile was polite and flirtatious as he stepped to the side and the other stepped up beside him. Like a complete opposite to the first. His skin was more caramel than the cream of his brother and it was dotted with multiple piercings. Instead of a gentle smile, he wore a dark smirk.

"Just get me one of those fucking black coffees. None of those sweet frou-frou shits." He muttered, far less polite. I blinked and shook my head, as if waking from some sort of enthrallment. I keyed in the order quickly, the items part of my careful memorization.

"That'll be... $15.86." I said, managing a polite and friendly smile, "Names?" I asked as I grabbed up the cups and my favorite red marker.

"Mine is Luke, his is Jan, sweetheart." The blonde said simply, giving me that same intoxicating smile. I felt the blush heat my cheeks as I nodded and wrote the names in my careful calligraphy. Luke continued to smile as he pulled out his wallet and paid for the drinks with a 50. I started to get out the change when a white gloved hand reached out and grabbed my wrist in a surprisingly rough grasp. " Keep the change, beautiful." He added, making me damn near choke on my tongue. I swallowed, my eyes sliding up the hand and arm to his face.

"Are you sure? That's quite the tip..." I started, jolting when Jan spoke up.

"Just fucking take it. Don't share it with none of the others either, bitch. It's all for you." Jan growled, glaring dangerously at my coworker that was currently in the process of retrieving the cinnamon roll from the display case. Luke's grasp on my wrist tightened and didn't release until I'd taken the exact change out and put it in my pocket. The tense situation had my heart racing, not entirely out of fright as I looked up at two.

"Al-Alright. Your coffees will be ready shortly. I'll call your names when I finish." I said, then blushed deeply when Jan snickered at my working.

"You better, bitch." He replied, sticking his hands in his pockets and walking away. Luke gave me one last smile before following his brother. I looked down at my wrist and the finger shaped bruises that were blooming on my skin. Perhaps, that when I first fell for them, the mark was like a testament to my growing obsession. They would return to the coffee shop for the rest of the week, always the same exchange. Then, they never returned and I found myself disappointed each day I went without the tense confrontation. A week later, I worked the closing shift, cleaning up and finishing up the last of duties, before I changed back into my school uniform. Grabbing up my backpack, I closed the shop door and locked up. I yawned and stretched, glad I had gone with the male school uniform as the breeze of the night blew across my skin, just this side of being chilly. A skirt would not have been favorable in this weather. With a soft sigh, I turned down the alleyway between the café and the shoe store next door, making my way back toward my apartment. My parents had passed away a few years before and I had applied for Emancipation. Now, I took care of myself, surviving off of two jobs and school.

I started to turn the corner onto the street my apartment resided and suddenly something grabbed the back of my uniform. I was yanked backward and a hand grabbed my throat, pinning me hard against the brick building. It forced a muted cry from my lips before my oxygen cut off and my eyes fell on the person holding me there. My eyes widened as my eyes followed up the black sleeve to find it was Jan with Luke not far behind him. I froze, despite the urge to struggle, my vision quickly starting to fade as my lungs burned for oxygen. Recognition crossed the dark man's eyes and he released me. I dropped to my knees, panting as the world around me shifted and squirmed from lack of breath.
