Dear Diary,

The Battle of Hogwarts is over. We won. Voldemort is dead

I've decided to redo my seventh year. I need to learn as much as possible so I can get a good job. Ron and Harry, however are being lazy. They told me specifically that "We're becoming Aurors! We don't need to finish school!" I totally support them (note the sarcasm).

So, I'm going to be alone. Sure, I'll have Ginny and Luna... But Harry and Ron are my best friends and Hogwarts won't be the same without them. Especially since Malfoy will be there as well...

Hermione boarded the Hogwarts Express. Being a Prefect, she had to sit in the Prefect carriages. Now, where to... She found an empty compartment and took her place.

Not long after, Malfoy and Pansy Parkinson arrived. The Slytherin Prefects. "What do you want," Hermione snorted.

"This, is our compartment," Pansy said, chewing loudly on a piece of gum.

"Would you stop that, Pansy! It's annoying!" Draco groaned.

"What?" Pansy smirked. "C'mon Drakey... Let's get away from her."

"Please, don't call me that." Hermione could tell he was getting frustrated.

"Okay, but let's go Draco! We don't want the Mudblood spilling her filth all over us!"

"Pansy, just find us another compartment already!"

"Whatever," she flipped her hair sassily and left.

"Sorry about her." Malfoy sat on the seat across from her. "She can be a little... stubborn sometimes..."

Hermione rolled her eyes, "Yeah, you could say that..."

"Listen... If Pansy or anyone else bothers you, just let me know. I'll set them straight."

She scoffed and sarcastically said, "Congratulations, Malfoy! You just earned yourself ten points!" She slowly clapped her hands. "Yay..."

"Haha, very funny. But I'm serious." And with that, he got up and left, but first tucked a strand of hair behind her ear.

Hermione blushed. What was going on with her?
