Chapter 19

The twins are going to be 3 months soon and Lily has been holding her head up pretty well. Agustus, he's already sitting up. He's so big, it's insane. I love them. Thery're my family. Some unfortunate things have happened. Haze;'s dad is in the hospital. He had a heart attack. He's not doing very well and I don't think he's going to make it. Obviously I won't tell Hazel that but she's been spending a lot of time with him and her mom. Her mom's probably been hit the hardest. I feel bad for her. It must be tough watching your husband suffer like that. It's bad enough she had to watch her daughter suffer. It sucks. Tonight it's just me and the twins. Hazel's going to visit her dad. Her 17th birthday is coming up soon and I have a surprise for her. I hope she'll like it. 

    When she comes home that night there are tears in her eyes. I think to myself this is not good. At all.
 "Hazel? What's wrong?"
  "M-m-m-my dad?"
 "Hazel?"
  "They're p-p-pulling h-his life s-s-support!"
 "HAZEL!? Oh my gosh?! When?!"
 "Tomorrow...."
 "No....."
 "Yes."
 "No they can't."
"They can and they are."
"Hazel, no they can't."
"Issac I told you, the can and they will, and they are."
 "No...."
   We gathered the twins and went to the hospital to say our finale good-byes to her father. The twins won't ever know their grandfather.
