Ace made his way down the hall, face buried in his Game Kid, not a thought in his head about the world around him. Suddenly, he slammed into someone, and fell straight backwards, dropping the console. He looked up holding his head to find Jordynne slowly standing up.
"Do you spend all day glued to that?" she asked, her usual monotone not being broken by the sudden collision.
"Nah, I was just bored, that's all." he said, reaching for the console, checking it for damage.
"So you don't have manners, either? You're such a kid, you know that?"
Ace leapt to his feet, and tried to meet her eye to eye. He failed, as she towered over him. "What!? A kid? Why would you say that?"
She shook her head, sighing. "Why do you think?"
"Because I'm short! I've heard it before, you know? I've heard all of them!"
His outburst managed to draw a small chuckle from her. "Do you only think of your height? It's your attitude, kid."
"Huh?" he tilted his head, running a hand through his hair. "What do you mean?"
"Your outbursts whenever someone brings up your height. It's immature. That's why I can't stand this place. I'm surrounded by children."
Ace pointed at her. "Hey, wait a minute. Isn't that childish?"
She glared at him. "What do you mean? What is?"
He laughed. "Your constant complaining. "Everyone's a kid but me, look how mature I am!" he nudged her arm slightly. "Admit it, for a 'mature adult' like you, you say stuff that sounds like it's coming from a 12 year old."
Her face became as red as her mask. "But, well-yo-you don't know what you're talking about!" She stomped her foot, starling him a bit.
"Hey, that's not a bad thing. It's good to loosen up a bit. Everybody thinks you're kind of uptight."
She struggled to regain her composure. "I'm not a kid, Ace. I'm older than all of you. I have no 'loosening up' to do. I simply carry myself as a professional should."
He chuckled, and put his Game Kid in his pocket. "Maybe you should act like a kid more often, Jordynne. You're more fun that way!"
Her eye twitched a bit. "I don't-you-no!" She stomped off, fuming at him.
He scratched his head. "Heh, will you look at that. She's not a snob all the time."
