Ahhh sixth-grade camp. A very eventful time in all of our lives. Crush after crush. So much drama that made it more exciting. We were all having fun, playing games, taking pictures, bonding more and more every minute we were there. But there was one thing, in particular, that lowkey changed our lives. For some reason, this event made our class more close than distant...
It was the end of a long day and we were all getting ready for bed. We were in the bathroom brushing our teeth, washing our faces, and showering. I hear the door open and I turn around. I see Alex R, the new girl, walking in and suddenly everyone is just looking at her staying quiet. We never really talked to her and, I think I can speak for everyone when I say, we all had an uneasy feeling about her. When I and the rest of the girls that were in the bathroom were done with our business, we walked to our cabins and left Alex R. behind.
Before it was time to go to sleep, most of the girls were hanging out in Cabin 7 (which was my cabin and my as in Wendy) and we were just talking about who we all had a crush on. I asked my friend, Jennielle, who she had a crush on and she said the name CARLOS. This left us ALL with shocked faces and I just thought in my head, "Well shit. I have a crush on him too.", BAHAHA. Anyways it was time for us to go to sleep so we all said goodnight and the others headed to their own cabins. Me and my roommates were talking until like 1 AM and we all fell asleep at around 1:30. I was not prepared for what I was going to hear the next morning.
It was finally morning and we all got ready to go eat breakfast. We were separated into two groups, the purple team and the yellow team. We all sat with our teammates and Anna called me and my friend Toni over to her table where she was sitting with Alex R, Angelina, and one other person. She looked kind of uncomfortable and I don't know if Toni noticed but I just ignored it because I just thought to myself, "She's just tired.", but oh was I completely wrong. She continued to tell us that Alex R. tried to sleep in the same bed as her and tried to kiss her and something else which I don't feel comfortable sharing. Me, Toni, and Anna just stared at each other. I was completely SHOCKED. I was just so...disturbed. I couldn't believe that I went to school with someone like that. We slowly walked back to our tables and I just sat there. I just sat there with a shocked face. I asked Anna if I could tell other people just in case she tries to do it to someone else too and she said that it was fine. I told some of the people in the yellow team and Toni told the others in the purple team. Now we all knew and we just tried to stay away from Alex R.
The next day word got around that she was watching people sleep. I was one of the people who saw her. We had to keep our doors open every night because it was a rule but I woke up because I was going to go to the bathroom. I start to remove my blanket and I see Alex R. standing outside our cabin door, a little far away, but close enough to be able to see us on the top and bottom bunks. She walked away, trying to make it seem like she was just walking back to her cabin from the bathroom I think. I told my friends about what happened and it just left us all disgusted. Then we heard that she was watching the boys sleep through their window. Now I don't know if I should believe it, but when we confronted her she seemed pretty guilty when we mentioned that.
We all kind of started to avoid her since she was pretty weird but I think that was one of the craziest things that has happened to our class. Even now, we mention it in conversations where we just talk about funny and crazy things LMFAO. We all kind of got past it but for most of us, it's kind of a hard thing to forget.
