glass birds cast shadows against rose light
the world blurs in and out of focus
it's one shot after another
you unknowingly discard some
the importance of each is yet to be discovered
...
half-moons glint bright in the endless sky
the darkness spreads slowly
it is your heaven
the silent serenity is relief
thoughts crisscross about your mind
it is still
it is there for you
...
light and darkness
day and night
ying and yang
Apollo and Artemis
both are good
neither is wrong
fore you are awake on both sides of the spectrum
it is what keeps you going
they are the false safe lies of life
it isn't sleep that hurts you
but the grueling nightmares that cut you to the bone
the doubts that awaken at the most unexpectated moments
as long as you are distracted, there is hope
you aren't running
you are choosing your life
twenty-four hours at a time
YOU ARE READING
twenty-four hours at a time
Poetry[as long as you are distracted, there is hope] a poem on the differences of day and night and how they are both always there for you.
