A Beautiful day in Thneedville and Ted Wiggins, an 18 year old who had been outside in the sun. He was trying to figure out in his head his feelings towards his old friend Once-ler. Ever since The Lorax made him young again, Teddy felt somewhat attracted to him, a crush. This was something he just couldn't get off his mind. He let our a sigh as today was the day he would confess his feelings towards Oncie.
He jumped on his scooter and rode through the new Truffula Forest to the one cottage in the middle. He parked outside this cottage, hesitating before approaching the door. He took a deep breath and rang the doorbell, waiting for an answer.
When he answered, Ted couldn't help but feel butterflies in his stomach, a blush appeared across his cheeks as his heart started to beat fast "oh Hi Ted, come on in I just made pancakes and too many to eat myself" Ted smiled and entered the cottage, the smell of freshly baked pancakes filling his nose. He took a seat and tapped on the table.
"Hey Mr Oncie? I actually came here to tell you something" he closed his eyes as he composed himself "yeah? What is it buddy"? Once-ler replied. He had noticed Ted seemed a bit nervous "is everything alright"? He seemed concerned.
Ted turned his gaze towards Oncie and sighed "no, not really. Ever since I saw you, the way you look now I started to develop a crush on you and I don't know why" he placed his head on the table in embarrassment. Once-ler gazed at the lad and smiled "I figured as much. Since you visit ne a lot I knew something was bothering you, but look it's fine I took a liking to you as well" he went and sat next to Ted, stroking his back "you have nothing to be embarrassed about".
Ted then looked up, his eyes wide as he tried to process this whole situation "y-you like me"? He seemed shocked but didn't break eye contact with Once-ler. "Well yeah, your a smart lad with a lot of potential and you keep me company when I feel a bit lonely so, I too developed feelings for you" he then went and grabbed the pancakes, placing them in front of Ted, ruffling his hair "these will make you feel better buddy" Ted smiled and ate the pancakes.
