CHOI YUJIN POV

I wake up with puffy eyes and dark circles. I drowsily get out of bed and quickly eat a bowl of cereal, preparing to head out to school.

As I reach the school gates, everyone's extremely hyper. Why? I scoff at their childishness and go to my first class, History.

"Good morning class! Today's obviously a big day for you all, so each class period will be designated for you to find your soulmates today"

SOULMATES? Wait, I forgot that was today! My palms start to sweat and I start getting nervous. 

All the juniors jump out of their seats and start to touch random people. The way soulmates work is that you don't bond with them until you touch them, but you still are drawn to that person before you even touch.

It's okay. My soulmate will find me and I'll just let them down gently.

"JUNGKOOK!!" 

"WHY IS JUNGKOOK HERE OMG"

"DO YOU THINK HE FEELS THAT HIS SOULMATE IS HERE?!"

I whip my head around to see Jeon Jungkook at the classroom doorway, being stormed by girls. He pushes them aside with his broad shoulders and keeps walking straight. Directly to me.

He comes to a halt as he reaches my desk and makes eye contact with me, seeing my confused expression. He shakes his head and reaches out his hand to mine, but I pull away abruptly.

"What are you doing?!" I hiss at him through clenched teeth. He freezes and his breath hitches.

"Sorry, I- you just looked so..." He stutters.

"So...?"

"...ugly!" he says the words in a rush, his cheeks going bright red for some reason.

I glare at him.

"If you made all this commotion just to tell me I'm ugly, then get away from me. Your fangirls look like they're gonna kill me any minute now"

He turns back to them, even though the crowd had dispersed after realizing he wasn't their soulmate.

I turn away from him, facing the window, ignoring the strong urges to reach out and touch him.

I hear him mutter, "I must be delusional" before leaving to return to his classroom.

The day had passed by peacefully until lunch. I sit at my normal table in the corner of the cafeteria alone and just scroll through my phone. 

All of a sudden everyone storms in, mostly shocked and hurried girls and one exclaims,

"TAEHYUNG GOT A SOULMATE!"

My eyes widen in surprise and I go through Instagram, noticing Taehyung has a new post. I click on it and it's a picture of him with a cute girl with the caption that says, 

"You're better than I ever expected"

Without realizing it, a small pang of jealousy hits me. I wish I could have someone show me off like that. I shake my head, realizing how ridiculous I sound.
