After all, his little sister and brother were the reason he was dead. He had died all because everyone around him was on a hunt for a cure to vampirism. Because Elena and Jeremy had came up with the idea to kill a Mikaelson and their sire line. And Kol Mikaelson didn't want Silas to rise, and he was killed because he tried to chop off Jeremy's arm.
