there i stood.

in front of the massive building in toronto, canada. i had no clue on how i actually landed this role, acting wasn't anything i considered a job or even a career, until this happened. i remember hearing i got the role so vividly, my parents came running into my room to tell me "you got it! you got the role!"

sadly, i had to keep it a secret since it was a pretty big role, a lead role if you may, in a pretty big netflix show. everything was kept incredibly quiet, my mom had to sign a bunch of papers basically saying that i wasn't allowed to photograph the set, script or anything relevant to the show, otherwise i'd risk getting sued.

i quickly snapped out of my thoughts as my mom pushed me into the building that i remember was the ucp building. it was, honestly, the fanciest building i've ever seen. i looked at the people with business attire on who were rushing to wherever they were going.

"hi, your name please?" the receptionist bluntly asked my mother. i choked, while she looked me up and down.

"i'm jennifer and this is y/n, we're here for a table read?" my mom smiled, even though the receptionist didn't seem to like her. maybe she just has an off day, i thought, or maybe she's incredibly busy?

the receptionist typed something in her laptop, "okay, you can head up to the 43th floor, it's the first door on your left. also, you're late, so you might want to hurry a bit."

and so my mom and i did exactly that. we rushed to the elevator, quickly pressed the button for the 43th floor and waited for it to stop. some other people got in around half way, they looked really fancy, as if they had just gotten out of an important meeting or something.

we stepped out of the fancy looking elevator and dashed to the meeting room. my mom gave me a quick pep talk before pushing me in. the first thing that came to mind, was the breathtaking view. i barely took notice of the group of people standing in the room, but i did notice a certain brown haired, rather short boy.
