Guild

Goblin Slayer and party had returned to the guild in the early afternoon after finishing a goblin quest. Goblin Slayer reported to Guild Girl about the quest completion while the rest were talking to one another.

"Geez, that last quest really took longer than expected," Priestess spoke, "but at least we dealt with all of the goblins." the Dwarf Shaman snickered before remarking, "You mean most of us dealt with the goblins. The elf kept on missing her target. I still can't believe you're the archer when you missed that much." The High Elf, flustered and annoyed, retorted, "I'll have you know, dwarf, that I didn't miss. I actually hit one of the goblins." "Ha," the dwarf barked out in laughter, "but it wasn't the one you were aiming; so I guess you still missed."

The two would have continued their argument when from inside the guild, a faint but perceivable boom was heard. Everyone grew silent as another boom came, this time louder. Before anyone could react, a third and thunderous boom echoed inside the guild and a tear in reality appeared above the main area.

From there, multiple gloves, small and huge, came out of the rift and started to move to the guild members. The first target was going to be Guild Girl, but Goblin Slayer bashed one of the gloves away. However, he noticed that some of the huge gloves grabbed a hold on him and weren't letting go. He tried to tear them off but they seem to keep him immobilized as the rest of the gloves continued to approach the others in the guild. Some of the adventures tried to attack the gloves or run away, but it appeared the gloves were damaged proof and were selective to which they captured and kept immobilized like Spearman and the Lizard Priest. Soon all the gloves had captured their respective captive:

Goblin Slayer, Spearman, Lizard Priest, Guild Girl, Witch, Dwarf Shaman, High Elf Archer, and Priestess.

Soon the gloves began lifting them up and into the rift before the tear sealed itself with all of them taken away.

Town

The same could be said with the Rookie Warrior and the Apprentice Cleric as the two were running away from the gloves pursuing them. It didn't last long as when they went to turn to a corner, they stopped when more gloves were in front of them. Soon, the two were cornered, captured, and carried away.

Farm

Cow Girl wasn't faring well either. Earlier she and her uncle we're having their lunch when the first boom came. When the second sounded, her uncle told her to find a place to hide before the final boom struck and a portal appeared above them along with two huge gloves. The gloves started to approach her but her uncle tackled one of them, yelling her to run. As she started to run to her room, a loud comedic 'BONK!' came and then a thud as the two gloves chased after Cow Girl.

She managed to reach her room and closed the door shut once she was inside, locking it so the gloves couldn't enter. Few seconds allowed Cow Girl to breath until she noticed several petals and leaves were poking underneath her door and entered. The leaves and petals gathered into the air before forming the two giant gloves. She screamed as the gloves grabbed her, and lifted her up. They paused for a moment so one of the gloves could open the door, but they soon continued back to the portal.

Water Town

For the Sword Maiden, her encounter was completely different. While she was in her garden enjoying a bit of sunlight, she was caught off guard when three quick booms and a portal appeared beside her. Instead of gloves, three elongated, coat arms wrapped around her and pulled her in as the rip in reality closed.

???

Inside what appeared to be a dine-in theatre, above the ceilings were three portals, two small beside one huge. From the huge portal out came Goblin Slayer, Spearman, Lizard Priest, Guild Girl, Witch, Dwarf Shaman, High Elf Archer, and Priestess. From the first small portal was Rookie Warrior and Apprentice Cleric; and from the second small portal came Cow Girl.

As they all came out, frailing and noticing the others, the portals closed and they were all placed on the floor standing. The gloves let go of them and floated to the front of the room where the group saw a man in a top hat, suit, and a hexapedal coat wrapped around him like a cape standing with a mad smile on his face and a cup of tea in hand. The gloves had all retreated deep into the coat as the man toasted to the group, "Good evening."

The adventures took their arms and aimed at the man. The only adventures that didn't become hostile were Priestess, Witch, Apprentice Cleric, and surprisingly Goblin Slayer. Spearman was the first to speak, "Who are you?! Where are we?!" The man continued to smile as he took a sip.

A long sip.

A very long sip.

Soon he took off his hat, dumped his teacup into it, and placed the hat back on before speaking, "Allow me to introduce myself. I'm Hakkyo, the Madness Hatter. Currently, you all are in my theatre room, in a dimensional void known as 'Time' End.'" The group was a bit weary of Hakkyo until Goblin Slayer spoke, "What's the reason for bringing us here?".Hakkyo' smile grew wider as he answered, "I'm so glad you asked. For you see, being an entity of madness and chaos, I thought of wanting to show a group of adventurers and any close ties they have to react to a viewing of themselves and their adventures."

High Elf Archer was annoyed and confused, "So you want us to watch ourselves and any adventures we went through and already know?" "Ah, but wait, there's more," Hakkyo countered. "You'll be reacting to a different variant of yourselves in a parallel universe."

The group were quite surprised at this revelation but still had their doubts. "And what if we refuse," Witch spoke in her slow calm tone. Hakkyo answered straightly, "Refuse, you won't be able to leave Time' End; accept, you'll learn a thing or two, find some enjoyment in the viewings, and you'll be able to be sent back to where and when you all were taken in the beginning."

It took a minute for everyone to think this until Goblin Slayer turned and took a seat in one of the tables. Seeing Goblin Slayer's answer, the rest joined in with Goblin Slayer's party sitting in the table with him, Rookie Warrior, Apprentice Cleric, Guild Girl, and Cow Girl in another table, and Spearman and Witch in their own.

Hakkyo beamed in happiness until his smile shrunk as he noticed one person missing. "Give me a moment," he said as he pulled out a pocket watch and started to scroll the little dial in it before pressing a button. Soon a portal appeared beside him and the right of his three coat arms stretched into the portal before pulling Sword Maiden out of it. He briefly introduced himself and explained the situation to her.

While Sword Maiden seemed interested she also was sad when she remembered she cannot see. Despite the sad maiden, Hakkyo gave a reassuring smile and took a golden teacup out of his hat and said, "Drink this, my dear." Sword Maiden grabbed the cup and drank its contents.

Once she was finished, a golden aura washed around her and all the visible scars on her were erased. When the aura disappeared she was stockstill, even as Hakkyo took off the blindfold on her face, revealing completely healed eyes. She was stunned for a moment before reality came in and she started to cry tears of joy as she hugged Hakkyo, whispering a "thank you" to him. He continued to smile and patted her on the back.

The onlookers were completely shocked by what happened as Hakkyo led Sword Maiden to Goblin Slayer's table before he returned to the front of the theatre.
