Your eyes opened, and you saw the stereotypical starting town of an RPG.

There was a carriage that crossed the road in front of you, and you saw buildings that looked like they were made in the middle ages.

But that didn't matter right now, what mattered now was figuring out why your head felt so different.

Raising your hands to your head, you quickly figured it out, there was a large shell over your head, you didn't just take the powers of a vessel, you took the appearance as well.

If you want the appearance of your self, you can go to this link. https://picrew.me/image_maker/143336
And design your own vessel if you want, but it has to have horns and a nail.

Your limbs were completely black, yet covered by a long cloak, you reached behind you, and your hands wrapped around a nail, the weapons In Hollownest.

This was your wish, you guessed, so you decided to freak out later, where a bunch of people were not staring at a stranger appearing from no where.

You started your trek to the guild... Or you would if you knew where it was.

'Well, the vessels explore, so let's explore.'

Walking around town, you saw many sights while sadly not finding the guild hall.

You finally found someone wearing something oddly strange... A tracksuit.

Now, you were new to this world, but even you know that tracksuit's are not that common in fantasy worlds.

Deciding that talking to him will advance the plot in the story of life, you walked up to the man, and saw a face that you really should have expected when you saw the tracksuit.

After all, Kazuma was the only person who didn't care to be seen wearing it.

You tapped his shoulder, with a singular finger, as was your custom.

He turned around and... Yup, definitely Kazuma.

He stared at you strangely for a bit, before he opened his mouth to ask, "Your one of those vessel guys, aren't you?"

You nod, vessels were not supposed to speak after all, and you wanted to drag this on as long as possible before BOOM, big reveal.

"I don't think there's any infection here dude, but we there is a guild hall ahead, if that's what you want."

Nodding again, you stare at Kazuma, waiting for him to show you the way.

As you follow Kazuma, he asks you questions vaguely related to Hollow Knight, as of trying to judge what you were, even though you know he knew, you shoved so much Hollow Knight in his direction that it was kind of sad.

"So, what's your name?"

You pull a piece of paper from your cloak, and write your name on it, and show it to him, before he chuckles and puts his arm around you.

"So, you died then, and became a vessel from that game you always went on about.

You quickly write down words to defend your obsession, before Kazuma stops you.

"Why don't you talk? I mean, I know you don't like talking to people you aren't close to, but I know we held some conversations."

You try moving your mouth, but no noise comes out, you quickly scribble your findings to Kazuma, with one quote.

No voice to cry suffering.

"Dude, I know your the race from your favorite game, but don't be edgy."

...
...
...

"You can't actually speak, can you." Kazuma sounded hurt, but for you.

You lower your head as you nod.

"Hey, don't look so bad, I can introduce you to my party, we may live in a stable, but we have a priest, even if she is kind of useless, a powerful mage, and then we have our crusader, all of them are advanced jobs!"

You tap Kazuma on the chest.

"Me? I'm an adventurer, it's supposedly the weakest class, but it can use the skills of all other classes."

Nodding lightly, you fell into a comfortable silence, knowing that someone who understands your mannerisms is here for you.

Timeskip brought to you by Chibi Y/n sitting on a bench in the guild, sorting through charms

"This is the guild, you can register to become an adventurer here, but It costs a few Eris, the currency here."

You tap Kazuma's shoulder, and start writing down, Eris, as in the God who sends people here?

"Exactly."

The two of you walk into the guild, and get in a line, where everyone is gathered, even though there were multiple other lines... With no one there.

Kazuma had the money though, so you wouldn't complain.

When you finally reached the front you saw a blonde woman who would probably start a new anime plot revolving around a girl with a large personality.

"Oh, Kazuma, your back... Is your party taking another quest?"

"No, my friend here wanted to register as an adventurer."

The woman turns to you and stares a bit, creeped out by your nearly lifeless eyes and your unwavering gaze.

"O-oh! Sorry for not noticing you sooner, I'm Luna!"

I can see why Kazuma wanted to wait in line. She seems nice.

"Since Kazuma is paying for you, we can just get right to making your card."

Luna gave you a long... Long explanation about how being an adventurer works, and how to get skills, XP, normal RPG stuff.

"Now, all you have to do is place your hands here."

You place your hands on the orb, and upon the sight of the color of your arms, Luna squeaks and tries to regain her composure.

"Let's see here, Y/n L/n, your strength is quite low, your agility and health is extraordinarily high, your luck is quite low however, and... This is strange... Set your hands on the orb again."

We go through the process again, but this time Luna clicks her toungue, "Apparently, your Intelligence is either so high that the scanner can't read it, or is so low that it barely exists."

She hands you the card, "Considering your Int, I think a mage is out of the question, but a sword master or Adventurer would work well."

You tap your shell a bit, before reaching in your cloak and grabbing the Nailmaster's Glory Charm, and showing it to Luna, who stares at it for awhile before Kazuma coughs, "I think they want to be a swordsman."

"Is that right?"

You nod

"Alright, Swordsman it is."

The light writes something on your card, and the crowd erupts in cheers.

"Look at the weird little guy, he looks off, but is starting as an advanced job!"

"Join us, free food if you do!"

And similar things like all of that.

Eventually Kazuma just started dragging you, with your card out of the guild.

"So, Y/n, will you join my party?"

You think about it a bit, before patting Kazuma's back.

"Alright, let's head back to the stables, that's where we all stay, except for Darkness, our crusader. Megumin our mage may seem young when you first meet her, but she's actually nearly an adult, and then Aqua, the priest, she's literally a goddess, but is actually useless... Don't look at me like that, it's true, she was the item I dragged here!"

Kazuma and you played charades as we walked to the stable, and you prepared to deal with what was probably the worst decision in your second life.
