"But you'll say goodbye to your family..."
That was the last thing Emma heard before darkness engulfed her.
Then the icy cold kiss of snow met her and cushioned her like a bed, and just like on a bed, she remained in a deep slumber.
"Hey..hey.." The voice of a man sounded as a overly covered person came into view from where she laid still prone in her slumber, "A child? What is a human being doing here?"

"Urgh..." Emma murmured as she began to come too, shivers wracking her slim frame.
"You awake?" The elderly man asked.
Startled fully awake, she whipped her head up at kevel to gaze upon an elderly kind looking man who sat across from her, he's eyes full of concern and questions.
"Where'd you come from? Why were you out there?" He questioned wishing to understand how a young child like her could've survived coming a long ways out to the cold depths of the mountain range.
"?" Confused as she shifted through her memories, Emma found nothing, not even her name.
A look of distress suddenly engulfed her face as she turned to look at the man.
"I don't know." She said feeling horrified, looking down, "I can't...remember anything." Her appearance worsening, she continued, "Why was I..? Where did I..?"
Her mind was blank. She had intelligence...but she was empty of all memories. Trying to fish, a blur of feeling meshed with wordless sense began to hit her.
The old man sighed, then he got up and walked to his kitchen, when he returned, he carried two mugs filled with hot cocoa.
Handing one to the girl, he told her to drink and warm up, he then sat down and sipped his own mug as slowly, as though to reassure her that she could take her time.
Several minutes passed before he finally spoke again.
"What's your name?" He asked believing that at least this she would know.
"I don't know..." She answered honestly.
"Where'd you come from?" He asked hoping that something would come up.
"..." She began to look even more troubled and confused.
"Your parents?" He continued.
"..." As though her head were pounding with pain, she began to clutch it, "..."
"What were you doing out there, without a mask and wearing such light clothing?" He asked more concerned, only to be met with more silence.
"I'm sorry.." She let out feeling depressed.
"No need to apologize." He stated feeling bad for pushing her, but wishing he could help her.
'She doesn't have anything that serves as a clue to her identity.' He thought to himself then glanced at the rifle laying covered on the coffee table. 'But she has a rifle?'
"Well, you're not hurt. I'm glad you're okay." He said, he glanced at the photo laying next to the rifle, "There are no villages nearby, and we don't have signal up here. I can't call for help until Spring."
She seemed crestfallen suddenly.
"I can offer you food and a place to sleep." He offered, "You might remember eventually. Don't rush, just rest."
"Thank you..." She let out, her worries still lingering.
Then time passed...
One month.Then more months... [Nov..Dec...]
