Chapter twenty-six

All of Loki's memories came back at my command. He looked at me confused and a little angry. "Why didn't you wait? Are you alright? And don't lie to me now." Loki said determinedly. "I wanted you to remember every little detail of our past. We don't have to argue about that, it's done now. I fell a bit dizzy but I just need some water." I replied as I stand up. Slowly and still weak I walked to the kitchen.  Loki followed me from the beginning to catch me if I fall. And it was good that he followed me. I tried to get a glass of water as I tumbled down. Loki quickly catches me before I could fall to the ground. "I know that something like this would happen." Loki smiled sadly as he carried me to the bedroom and lay me down on the bed. "And I know that you would be there and catch me." I chuckled and kissed him on the mouth. "I see. I am not longer needed her. See you soon." Thor said as he walked out of the apartment.

"I had forgotten that Thor was there." I laughed. Loki was still a bit angry but most he was worried. He softly stroked my cheek. "You shouldn't push yourself so often to your limits. Please promise me that you won't do it again." He said with a said voice. I cupped his face in my hands. "I promise." I kissed him softly before I continued, "how do you feel with all of your memories back?" I asked worried he could be still mad at me. Or that he can't forgive me. "I think I'm fine. I mean we already talked about everything. But it feels a bit strange to know everything in this way. It is one thing if someone tells you something or if you were there and witnessed it by yourself." He replied looking me into my eyes. He looked like he was overthinking something. Something that hurt him a lot.

"What are you thinking about?" I asked him politely. He looked at me with a sad smile and took a deep breath. "I feel so sorry for you. For us. We wanted it for so long. Our own family. We were so happy back then. And I couldn't protect you or our child. I feel so guilty. It was my job to protect our family and I failed it. And I wasn't able to protect you at our wedding. When I saw you there, blood everywhere. I am not good enough to protect you." He said and his eyes filled with tears. I sit up in front of him and looked him deep into his eyes as a tear rolled down his cheek. I shed away his tear with my thumb. "Look, my love." I started trying my best to not burst out in tears. I hated to see him hurt in any kind of way.

"Together we are strong. I know it's hard that we lost our child. But we didn't lose our family. Even if we are not able to have a child anymore. We are a family. And I feel guilty too. I erased your memories and I couldn't protect you or our child. Some things in our past went horribly wrong. But together we can make our future even better." I smiled at him as I continued, "and don't forget that you do save my life at our wedding. You were there every second and gave me strength. And don't forget that you spent some of your blood. Without it could have been difficult for me. You are my hero!" I said as I kissed him on the cheek. He finally smiled again. Not as bright as normal but it was the first step. "I love you Loki!" I said with a big smile on my face. He came closer and replied with a bigger smile now, "I love you too darling." He pulled me closer and we kissed. "Forever and always," I said quietly and softly between our kisses. Now Loki was able to smile again as always, "forever and always." He replied continuing kissing me softly.

"How are you feeling now?" I asked after we kissed for a while and I was finally able to speak again. He looked me into the eyes and smiled. It makes me even happier when I see him smiling and happy. "I feel way better." He chuckled. "Do you want to watch a movie?" He asked politely. "Sure. But only if you make some popcorn." I replied laughing as he pulled me in his arms with a tight grip. "For you everything." He said carrying me to the sofa. We sat down and he made some popcorn with his magic. We decided to watch a horror movie. Well, Loki wanted to see the movie and I was fine with it. As long as I can cuddle with him I don't care which movie we are watching. The movie was very scary and I got closer to Loki. He grabbed me in a tight and comfy hug. I felt so safe around him. In his warm and tight hug. We watched the movie till the end and afterward, we went back to bed and fall asleep arm in arm.
