"MacKenzie?!?"

"Monica?!?"

MacKenzie dropped the dresses and came closer to my face. Henry just sat there on the couch,embarrassed.

"What are you doing here? Aren't you supposed to tutor Greg Hamilton?" I say. "Uhm...I have something to confess." Henry and MacKenzie say.

"We are dating." They say at the same time. I stare at them like they're crazy.

"MacKenzie! He is way out of your league! Your 17 while Henry is like...14!" I say,arguing.

"14 in 4 months!" Henry says.

"Shut your mouth Hart." I say and run out of his house and run to our house even before MacKenzie was able to leave Henry's house.

I run to my room and lock the door.

"My sister...dating my crush." I say quietly.

I reach for my phone and call my parents.

"Monica,I have bad news."

"What?"

"Your father died. And I have to stay here in Colorado because I can't leave your father,I'm sorry." My mom says. She hangs up before I can say anything.

I cry to myself. MacKenzie and I are not that close anymore,I have no friends,if Henry counts but in this case. Nope.

I run to my room and leave a note for MacKenzie.

Hey MacKenzie,
I know we aren't getting along that much currently so I'm going to stay next door. Don't try to get me cause I'll come back when I feel like it. I'm old enough to make my own decisions.

I love you as a sister. I hope you love me back the same way.
