*Abby's POV*
I heard it again. The screaming from across the hall. He ran out crying and screaming, "GO TO HELL!" As I watch him run down the hallway and down the stairs, I let a year slip down my cheek. I got up, wiped the tear away and went inside. That's the 4th time this week. That he'd run out screaming like that. I knew why he was crying.*Flashback*
Darin's parents never really wanted him. But when he did something to upset them he was kicked out into the streets until he was forgiven..
*End Flashback*He always went to the same place. The bridge by the Softball Field. I left my room to follow him. I found him sitting under the bridge smoking a cigarette. I leaned against the graffitied wall taking out my own cigarette and lighting it. But before I could light it I accidentally dropped my lighter. "Damn it!" I whispered.
He caught it with his hand easily. When he handed it to me I thanked him. "Did you follow me here?" He asked quietly. "Kind of." I said looking at the ground. I put the cigarette to my lips, he then lit it for me. "My name's-" "Darin, I know. You live across the hall from me." I said blowing smoke from my nose.
"And you are?" He asked as he took a hit of his own cigarette. "Abigail, but my friends call me Abby." I hated my name. I quickly snapped out of my thoughts as Darin started talking. "How long have you been smoking Abby?" "For about 5 years now." I said. "Same, it's so addicting. I'm likely to get lung cancer at age 30." He chuckled. We talked for another hour about our lives and stuff. We shared a pack of cigarettes and when it started getting dark we headed back home. We talked the whole way back
I walked with him up the steps to his door. "Nice meeting you Abby." He said. "You too Darin." I said back staring into his big beautiful blue eyes. "I think I really like him." I thought to myself, "but we just met, I can't tell him I like him.." I snapped out of my thoughts.
*Darin's POV*
"She's so beautiful." I thought to myself. "I wonder..." I lean in to kiss her I just couldn't resist. She does the same and our lips meet.We pull away and smile at each other. We don't stop kissing until after dark (Only to get breaths in lol). "You...Are...Soo...Beautiful...Abigail!" I said in between kisses.
When we finally stop kissing, I pulled her into my apartment. "What do you want to do?" I asked her smiling. We sit on the couch together. "I think you know what I wanna do." She says pulling me towards her lips. We made out for half an hour. She pulled away and said "wait, I have to tell you something!" "What?" I questioned. "Look, I like you but I think it's a bit to soon for this, I think we should get to know each other better." She said twirling her hair. "Okay, what do you wanna know? I'm an open book!" I chuckled.
We asked each other a million questions, but we finally fell asleep on the couch. In the morning when I woke up, Abby wasn't there. I looked on the table and found a note. It was from Abby. It had said "Hey, I had to go home cause I had to feed my dog Baliey. If you want to we could hang out today. If you want to call me, 204-496-3145. See ya,
~XOXO Abby."
