Eren woke up with a start.  Another prick was on his arm but this time it was connected to an IV, probably sedative.  His arms were strapped to his sides but leather straps.  The same was done to his legs, neck and below and above his stomach.  He struggled at the bindings and glared around the room.

A woman with brown hair tied atop her head and rectangle glasses was looking down at a clipboard.  She wore a regular uniform like Levi and smiled politely as she noticed Eren was awake.  Levi stood beside her with a frown on his usually hardened face.

Seeing the Captain with such a fierce expression began to worry eren.   When he tried to speak he noticed the gag in his mouth.  He started to struggle harder as Levi said,”Call down, you can’t get out, we made sure of it.”

Eren frightfully glared at them.  He glanced at the iv as the woman began to speak,”Wow!  An actual titan in human form!  This is a first.  Hi, my names Hanji, I’m somewhat of a researcher on your kind.  We’ll start by drawing some blood samples, and observations.”

Hanji walked to Eren’s right side and pulled out a long syringe, empty.  She put her clipboard down and lowered the needle to Eren’s wrist.  Eren started to panic and feebly wiggled against the arm restraints.

Hanji glanced at Captain Levi, brushing her bangs out of her face, and said with a frown,”I can’t have him moving so much.”

Levi simply glared at Eren and walked over to Hanji.  He knelt by the bed and placed a firm, warm hand over Eren’s and one just below his wrist.  He suddenly tightened his grip causing Eren to yelp through the gag.  Levi just smile slightly and motioned for Hanji to continue.

Eren tried to shake his head but the sedative was working wonders and caused sloppy, groggy movements.  After two syringes had been filled Hanji then went on to observe his body.  She was silent as she fervently wrote on her clipboard.  After a few minutes she paused and nodded towards Captain Levi.

Now she looked down at Eren as she wheeled over a cart full of scalpels and other sharp things.  “Never seen inside one of you, yet,”  SHe smiled and brought scissors to Eren’s shirt.  She left it in tattered pieces at his sides.

Now Eren was really panicking.  He tried with all his might to struggle but that damn sedative was still pumping into him.  Levi bagan scowling again and watched intently as Hanji pressed a scalpel to the bottom of Eren’s stomach.

Eren began to scream through the gag as Hanji mercilessly cut open the soft, sensitive skin.  She made two more incisions up his sides and then brought over two clips.  She peeled Eren’s skin upwards, exposing his internal organs.

Now Eren was full out sobbing and tears clouded his vision.  He couldn’t struggle, couldn’t speak and was starting to get dizzy.  He vaguely felt Levi stroking his hand a bit but could have just been delirious.

Hanji simply observed the organs pulsing and working.  SHe gently poked at some of Eren’s soft organs but ultimately sighed.  “Looks normal, what a shame,”  She finally announced.  The clamps were removed and the skin was fixed back in place with dissolvable stitches.

At this point Eren had gone still but was awake.  He wished he could just pass out but he didn’t even have the strength to do that.  He was drained and raw.  Hanji nodded to Levi and left swiftly with a wild grin on her face.

“They’re all crazy,”  Thought Eren tiredly.  He sighed slightly when the Captain released his arm finally.  Levi leaned over Eren and gently kissed his forehead.  He left Eren in shock as he said,”Stop crying, brat.”

Eren had sunken down and watched Levi leave.  The last thought before he lost consciousness was,”Maybe they aren’t all that bad.”

Summary:

Eren wakes up strapped down. Hanji cuts him open and records data. Levi comforts him slightly, maybe. Eren starts to like Levi a bit.
