Drace Curry wasn't sure what was worse: being unemployed and depressed, or being unemployed, depressed, and single. After her last significant other wished her goodbye, Drace needed time to diffuse and reflect.
She decided to head home for the summer, but she was now realizing that it wasn't the best plan. With her parents retiring and becoming devout international evangelical missionaries, she hadn't a place to stay. Now, Drace does have other family, a sister, Vachel, and a cousin, Ushlyn. Unfortunately, Vachel travels the world as a supermodel.
Drace did, however, show up at Ushlyn's house, expecting a warm welcome. She was poorly mistaken.
"What're you doing here," Ushlyn had said, opening the door only a crack. Drace teetered on her feet nervously.
"I need a place to stay."
"LOL." Ushlyn then slammed the door. Drace knew what she had to do. Her friend from high school, Palison, still lived in town. Drace managed to guilt Palison into giving her a place to stay, but this couldn't last. Drace and Palison fought over the littlest things, and Drace began to wonder if coming back home had been a mistake. Nah.
Anyways, Drace now had one goal: a job. She needed a job.
