    Julia's POV

    2002

The funeral ended about 10 minutes ago and I was still standing by my mom's grave. I still couldn't believe that my mom was gone. Tears rolled down my face.

I had always had a hard time trusting people, or opening up to people and telling them things. And my mom was the only person I really ever opened up to. Of course I still had her dad, but I never really felt comfortable with my dad like I did with my mom. My dad was on business trips a lot, so I didn't see him that much.

I felt a hand on my shoulder. And I  knew it was my dad without even looking.

" Ready to go?" My dad asked. His voice still sounded strong. But I could hear the sadness in his voice.

" Yeah...I think so," I said with a shaky voice, even though I knew I was lying. The car ride back home was very quite.

When I got home I went straight upstairs. I didn't even bother changing before laying down in bed. I layed awake for awhile before slowly drifting to sleep.

When I woke up I noticed it was already dark outside. I glanced at the clock. It was 12 in the morning. So I got out of bed and went down the hall. I slowly opened the door to my mom's and dad's room. Which was now only my dad's room. My dad was already sleeping.  So I quietly closed his door and went back to my room, grabbed my blanket and went outside to the balcony. I didn't really need the blanket because it was warm outside since I lived in LA California.

My mom used to always come here  when she needed to think. Sometimes it was about work, or my dad or me, or to just think or relax.

" Mom I really miss you," I said  looking up at the night sky. Tears started to fall down my Cheeks.

" Me too." I turned around and saw my dad standing there. I walked over to my dad and hugged him, and he hugged me.

" Come on Julie. You need to get some sleep," My dad said after awhile. Then he walked to the door and held it open. I didn't say anything, just walked to my room.

About 20 minutes after I got in bed, I heard my dad open the door to my room. He couldn't see that I was awake because I was facing away from the door. I heard my dad close the door and walk back to his room. My eyes started to slowly close and before I knew it, I was fast asleep.
