I suppose Maths wasn't all that bad. Her voice is one of those you can solve problems to but not equations. It made me think about why everyone hate him. I bet not even the first bully knows why.

In form the following day there was some surprising news. A Christmas Dance for my year only on the night before Christmas. YAY. then I read further on...

' every student must turn up with a date for the evening. We will see you there.' Not so Yay. Who was I going to ask? Who was going to ask me?

At break my friends and I were asking each other the same questions. Asking with which dress/shoes/bag/hairstyle/nail colour/BOY??

I knew we would be the last ones to be asked. With only social rejects left - like Spencer. Oh God. My social life is going to end before it has even begun.

After two days the organisers had changed the notice to 'anyone who doesn't wish to have a date will be allowed to to attend if they enter with a date free person which they would choose on the night.' My Christmas isn't looking too bad now. Until I thought that the only ones left would be the rejects.

That weekend we went dress shopping. After hours of traipsing around Meadow hall. Annie found her only dress. It was beautiful, navy blue with diamonds glimmering like stars. If a dress was made with the nights sky it would look like this.

Becky's was lilac and lovely. There was a floral patterned sash flowing along her dress like waves. The lilac complimented her green eyes perfectly. Whereas mine was more subtle in comparison to theirs. Until there was little light. Then I shone like the sun.

My dress was baby blue. A corset at the top decorated with falling snowflakes on the front. At the back it was tied on with white ribbon. The skirt part was like rippling layers of translucent baby blue fabric with embroider silver snowflakes.

We all bought matching shoes and bags. We would look a-maze-ing. All there was to do was book out manicures and hairdressing appointments.
