Jess was sitting on a bench in Washington square park reading like he has been doing since he arrived back in New York. Rory had come to see him a little over a week ago, he wanted to go back but knew he shouldn't she was better off without him. He continued to read his book when a girl pushing a large cart full of bags stopped beside him. She looked down at him and handed him a envelope with his name on it before continuing to push the cart yelling free groceries and free hygiene products, handing one of the bags to whoever came over to her. Jess looked at the envelope in his hands and opened it. Inside was a letter that read,

Jess looked back up but the girl was gone. Who was she? How did she know who I was? Was she talking about Rory? These questions filled his head but none more than Should I go home? To Starshallow? To Rory?
