I was standing outside the marquet's home waiting for my mom to let me in, since the place was huge and I had no idea where my room would be. I was late, so I hoped my mom knew I was coming since I said I'd arrive at 6.00 p.m but instead I arrived at 8.00 and know its 10.00. I've been standing here for 2 hours now my legs are killing me. I couldn't call my mom either since I had to sell my phone for my allowance. And yes I know what your thinking, I am that poor. I was about to leave the place and find a public phone to use until

" my, Claire?" I was stopped by the sound of my mother's voice

" mom, is that you?" I responded as I turned around. I hadn't seen my mother for 6 years since I went to a primary boarding school, my mother had way too much work to do so she couldn't visit me either. But I understood.

" hey mom, been a long time huh" I said as I hugged her. We broke the hug and started to chat outside for abbit.

" so this is your daughter" an unfamiliar voice came from the doorstep

" ms. Green you scared me" my mom said as she turned around. I started to take a glance of the lady who was standing at the doorstep. She seemed to have been wearing a maid's outfit and looked like she was in her 50's

" yes, this is claire, Claire meet the head of servants. You may address her as ms.green" my mom said

" nice to meet you" I said as a tilted my head a little

" nice to meet you too, you seem rather young to be a maid" she said as she walked down the doorstep.

" yes I guess so" I said

" how old is she again?" She asked as she sprun towards my mother

" she's 13" my mom answered

" well then she's extremely young" she said with now shock in her tone

" yes, but I'm willing to work very hard" I said tilting my head again

" well then, come in and let me show you your uniform and room" she said as she began to walk inside

I turned towards my mother as she smiled
