Falling In Love Young

Chapter 3

    "Before you guys get worried," my mom started.

    "Too late." I thought to myself.

   "It's nothing bad. I'm leaving you guys home alone for the weekend because I have a date. I'm leaving tonight and I'll be back Monday morning" My mom said.

  "Oh, well, that's not bad. You had me scared." I said while everyone looked at me like I'm an Idiot.

  "Okay mom, well I'm gonna have Anthony, Koby, Drake, Blake, and a bunch of other friends over." My brother, Trevor, said.

   "Okay, just don't do anything to crazy." My mom said.

   "I'm probably going to Amber's house for the weekend, she's having an early birthday party." My sister, Kelsey, said.

  "Okay sweetie." My mom said.  We finished the dinner pretty much in peace and I got up and washed my plate at the same time Trevor did. 

    "Hey, would you tell mom if I threw a party this weekend?" I whispered to Trevor as he washed his plate and I rinsed mine.

   "Nah go for it, I'll probably have a lot of friends over too." Trevor said and we both went to our separate rooms.

    I spend the whole night sending invites to my party in two days. It was last minute to I don't really expect many people to come. I looked for people that could buy alcohol. After searching for hours one of Matt's older friends that he used to play soccer with offered to buy alcohol for the party. After finding the alcohol I laid my phone to go to sleep. When I was almost asleep I heard a snap chat notification, I thought it was from someone like Matthew or Justice so I decided to ignore it. After laying there and thinking about it, I grabbed my phone to look at it. It was a snap chat from the man at the grocery store. My heart dropped and I was so excited. He just texted me hey and I replied with hi. We had a basic conversation when he asked to Facetime. I was freaking out because I was a mess and ready to go to bed. I told him that I was down to Facetime.

    I jumped up out of bed and turned the lights on, I put on mascara and brushed my hair out. I sat in bed waiting for him to call, I finally heard my phone ring after what felt like forever. I answered with my phone pointing at the ceiling because I was scared to show my face at first. I could see his face though and I couldn't help but smile when I looked at him. As soon as I saw him showing his face, I moved my camera to show mine.

   "There's that pretty face I remember from the store." He said with a smile.

    "And there's that cute face I remember." I replied, not knowing what to say.

    "Haha, thanks. Have you ran into anyone else since we last spoke?" He asked me thinking he was funny.

    "Yea, how'd you know?" I said in a sarcastic tone.

    "I had a hunch." He said laughing. "So when am I going to get to see you again? What are you doing this weekend" He asked me.

   "Well actually I'm having a party for back to... umm I mean for um for my friend's birthday." I said trying to recover from my slip up.

   "For what? You seemed unsure about that." He said seeming kind of concerned.

  I didn't know how to respond. Did he hear the back to school part? Does he know that I'm of a high school age? I'm scared that he will find out and no longer talk to me.

   After sitting in silence for a minute he finally says, "Are you okay? I was just kidding. You can't take me seriously all the time." I was relieved after he dropped it.

   "Yea I'm good, I'm just kind of sleepy. I have a big day tomorrow." I said as my mom walked into my room. I muted myself on facetime and told him to hang on.

   "Hey, I just wanted to tell you that I'm heading out and I'll see you on Monday." My mom said.

  "Okay, I love you, be safe." I said and my mom smiled and walked out. "Sorry." I said to him.

   "It's okay, and about the party, I'm down but I have to work late, it's my last day at my summer job. If you're tired you can go to sleep, I don't want to keep you up." He said.

   "I'm excited! It'll be fun! And yea I think I'll head to sleep. Before I go, I never got your name." I said.

   "Oh, I'm sorry, it's Augustine. And yours is Trinity right?" He asked me.

   "Yea it is! Your name is cute I like it. Anyways, goodnight, I'll text you tomorrow." I said.

  "Goodnight, and not if I text you first." We smiled and I hung up.

   "AHHH, I'm so excited for this weekend!" I thought to myself. I went to sleep and slept peacefully until 6am when my brother was standing over me in full panic. 

    "Trinity something bad has happened." He said as I sat up super fast.
