The moment they stepped out of the bounds of the forest, they were greeted with civilization. The market was a busy place, people bustled about minding their own businesses. Various shops like food, clothing, accessories etc were littered about in an uneven pattern on either side of the road. The boys looked at the scene unfolding before them in amazement.

"You all can go ahead. Like I said, you have two hours. Namjoon, you'll be the one incharge of the guys. Meet me here on time."

It was weird how she used their names directly but none of them said anything about it.

"Okay," Namjoon said. "Let's go boys."

Y/n watched them disappear among the crowd. She then found a place to rest while she waited on one of the tree branches where no one could see her.

"Hyung, Hyung!" Taehyung grabbed Yoongi's arm. "Let's go get my marbles."

The older boy sighed but followed Taehyung to the shop.

"I'm off to get some spices. Who's coming with me?" Jin asked and Hoseok followed wordlessly.

Jimin, Namjoon and Jungkook didn't feel like buying anything but decided to look around the place.

"The market in Scintilla," Jimin started, "it isnt this busy."

The other boys nodded, their minds filling with memories of their hometown.

"You know, we never really got to meet the Prince. Who knows how he would be now." Namjoon pondered.

Jungkook froze for a second but eased his stiffened shoulders at the mention of the Prince.

'Don't forget your mission Jungkook', he reminded himself. 'Don't forget why you came here.'

"Yeah, he should be engaged by now seeing how Princess Aria's supposed death almost caused a mutiny." Jimin replied.

"Probably," Namjoon agreed.

The ground shuddered beneath them suddenly and the boys stopped walking. Pounding hooves came their way, dust flowing as they marched ahead. Jungkook noted that they were Aurora's Royal Guards which meant that King Seth was nearby.

"This is bad," Namjoon whispered. "We must gather the boys and head back to Y/n before someone sees us."

Namjoon's fear was valid, the boys were dressed in their training uniform and they definitely didn't fit with the rest of the people. Any form of skill training was forbidden in the country as per King Seth's orders.

But Jungkook had other reasons to worry about. He couldn't afford getting recognized by King Seth or it will be trouble for everyone.

The three of them stepped into one of the shops and watched the knights go by. Soon, another horse came up behind them, this one a midnight black, proud and standing out from the rest of the brown colored horses. Jungkook managed to look at the rider before he flew past them. A powerful aura surrounded King Seth, even his stoic expressionless face indicated that he was upto no good. Malice was his middle name and he was known to get what he wanted in any way possible.

The three of them came out when it was safe. Increasing their pace, they looked for the other four. They spotted Jin and Hoseok easily who had the same wide expressions as them. Taehyung and Yoongi were nowhere to be seen.

"We need to find them quickly before someone spots us," Jin said urgently.

"Hey!" A voice called out and the five boys froze, their blood running cold.

A small group of Royal Guards stood a few feet away, looking at them with suspicious expressions.

"We need to run," Jungkook said and they did.

"Hey! Stop right there!" One of the guards yelled and ran behind them.

"Divide!" Hoseok yelled and they ran off in different directions.

Jungkook turned left, knowing that was where Y/n was. He had to let her know that they ran into trouble.

He looked behind him to see two guards following him and were very close to catching him. He turned a sharp left again, praying internally that he wouldn't get caught.

Suddenly, he was pulled to the side and he fell. The two guards following him ran straight ahead without looking around.

That didn't bother Jungkook, though. The fact that Y/n was on top of him took all of his attention. His heart rate quickened and he felt her breath tickling his cheek.

Y/n looked at him with widened eyes, still in shock of how Jungkook's weight and speed dragged her down on the ground with him when she pulled him away. Jungkook's eyes did not hide his feelings, she felt his heart beating rapidly against hers. Or was that her heartbeat, she didn't know. His pupils dilated as his eyes flickered to her lips. That was when Y/n snapped out of her trance and pushed herself away from him.

Jungkook was the first one to clear his throat and speak. "We, uh ran into trouble."

Y/n sighed. She feared this would happen. "I know. Where are the rest of the boys?"

"I have no idea. We divided ourselves to escape the guards."

She ran a hand through her hair and Jungkook found himself mesmerized again. He didn't want to deny that nothing happened because he was sure of his feelings. He was attracted to her, that was a given.

"I'm gonna go look for them. You stay here in case they come up."

"No way, I'm not letting you go alone." He argued.

"I'll be fine on my own, I've trained for years for this thing. Wait here."

"But--" He was cut off by Y/n placing a hand on his cheek.

"I'll bring them back safely, I promise." She said, giving him a small smile.

His cheeks flared up as he leant into her touch. She retracted her hand quickly and her expression was blank once again.

She turned around but he grabbed her hand.

"You need to come back safely too," he said, his eyes searching hers.

Y/n felt an unfamiliar feeling in her stomach as Jungkook looked at her seriously. His hand warmed her cold one and she almost gave into the pleasantness before she came back to reality.

"I will." She said and freed her hand from his before running off to find the boys.

Jungkook watched as she disappeared and smiled slightly. He was one step closer to thawing her frozen heart.
