After I got diagnosed, all my parents wanted to do was fulfill my every wish. I told them that I told that all I wanted to do was try and be a normal teenager and go back to high school. My mom kept on ranting about how it was dangerous and something might happen to me while I was there, but after my constant begging my parents gave in and sent me to Monzano High School.

"Are you sure you want to do this Lexi?" my mom asked from the front seat of the car "I'm sure Mom, 110%." I told her, she had one of those looks on her face "Something might happen to you, God forbid." There was no way I was backing out of this "Don't worry, I got Levi remember?" I turned to face my brother, who was seated in the backseat of the car "I got your back, sis." I sighed in relief, thank God I had a brother like Levi.

I got out of the car and said a goodbye to mom. Levi stuck by side as we made our way to the reception desk. The guy working there was fat and had a bald spot, he slightly resembled an Oompa Loompa. "Um, hi my name's Lexi Chapman?" I said to the Oompa Loompa who's name I didn't bother asking "Oh, the new student." he turned around and handed me some files "School map and your schedule." and with that he faced his computer again.

I headed down the hall to my English Literature class and shooed away Levi who was supposed to be in Biology class, but he insisted on walking me to my classroom.

I walked into the classroom and it looked like, well, utter chaos. Some people were screaming, some douchebags at the front were throwing paper balls at each other, and there was this really gross couple in the back that were making out and were practically sucking each other's faces off, I was tempted to scream out 'GET A ROOM!!' but then I thought 'Eh, better not'.

I looked around the class to look for an empty seat. I found one next to a guy sitting by the window, he had his face buried in a book. I sat down on my seat and let my eyes wander freely, soon I found myself staring at the guy next to me. Dang, he was gorgeous, a total hottie. He had beautiful black hair that he kept in a quiff and pale green eyes.

"You know, some people can tell if you're staring at them" Crap, he saw me. But, his voice was just a beautiful as his face, it was deep and rich, like melted gol-Wait what?! What the hell brain?! Dumbass hormones. "So, do you talk or what?" the gorgeous stranger said while waving his hand infront of my face "Huh? Oh yeah, um, my name's Lexi Chapman. I'm new around here." Nice, that was a great introduction, smooth move Lexi. "Oh, so you're the one they keep talking about. The one with the-." I knew what he was going to say, people were always going to bring this up in conversations. I SO did not need this right now.

"Crap, I'm sorry. I didn't mean for it to come out the way." The gorgeous stranger spoke up "Hey, don't worry about it. I guess when you have a tumor in your brain, people are gonna wanna bring it up in a conversation. It's cool." I replied, I think I actually saw the gorgeous stranger sigh with relief , and yes, I'm just going to keep calling 'gorgeous stranger' until I learn his name "My name's Caspian by the way, Caspian Carter." Was this guy a mind reader? Gorgeous and a mind reader, quite the combination "Did you say something?" he asked. Did I just say that out loud? Crap. "Oh, um, nice to meet you Caspian." I said as I outstretched my hand as he shook it "Nice to meet you Lexi." he said before returning to his book. On the outside, I played it cool, but on the inside my mind was going all 'He touched me! He actually touched me!!! Jesus Christ. He touched me!!'

For the whole class, I zoned out. The teacher, Mr. Smith, called my attention, but I just flew back into Never Neverland. I caught glances at Caspian. God, he was gorgeous when he was concentrating. The bell rang and I was snapped out of my thoughts. Curse that wretched bell. I gathered up my things and walked out the door, but not before Caspian waved at me and said "See you soon, Lexi."

When he left I practically broke out into a song and dance routine. I skipped all the way to Chemistry class.

"This is going to be a good year."
