It was a cloudy summer day, so you decided to walk down to the shore to read. You always preferred reading at the beach when you knew no one else would be there.

You sat on the sand near the water, and opened your book. The Crucible, by Arthur Miller. Definitely an interesting read.

You had only read a few pages when you felt someone's foot hit you in the back, hard.

"OW!" you shouted, irritated.

"Oh my gosh I'm so sorry! I really didn't see you there!" The boy who kicked you profusely apologized.

He had long blond hair, and was also holding a book.

"It's really alright, I believe you." You decided to forgive him, as he seemed genuinely sorry. "By the way, what are you reading?" You inquired, glancing at the book in his hand.

"Oh, it's George Orwell's 1984, it's always been one of my favorites because of the way it talks about government and revolution." You could see the excitement in his eyes as he talked about it. "What are you reading?" He glanced down at the book you had dropped in your lap when he kicked you.

"It's The Crucible, so far I really love the way it portrays the human fear of anything that strays from what we perceive as normal." You assumed he could also see your excitement at getting to talk about a good book.

"I love that one," he said, sitting down next to you with an excited expression "the mob mentality is such an interesting idea to explore."

"I completely agree, it's so interesting to analyze the characters' choices and their influences on each other."

"You know, I almost never meet someone with such a similar taste in literature as me." He sounded almost lonely as he said it. "By the way, my name's Armin, what's yours?"

"Oh, I'm y/n. And, same, it seems like no one ever wants to talk about these amazing books."

You smiled at each other, before Armin looked down at his watch. "I have to go." He groaned, sounding disappointed. "But it was really nice talking to you." He added smiling.

As he started to stand up you you quickly asked, "hey, I could give you my number so we could talk again sometime?"

"That's a great idea!" He seemed to really want to talk again, which made you feel relieved. You were a little worried he wouldn't want to talk again.

After giving him your number you watched him hurry towards the parking lot, where a car had has just pulled in. You watched him get in the car and drive off, wondering when you were going to get to see him again.
