Starting New

Alya's POV

I really woke up this morning and chose violence. as soon as I woke up I accidentally shapeshifted into a tiger and broke my bed. I guess my bed frame can support the weight of a tiger. As soon as I transformed back to normal I took a deep breath in to clear my head. This is going to be an exciting day. I went to the bathroom and took a quick shower and did my business. I went back to my room and changed into my school uniform for the first time. I fell in love immediately. I wore a gray blazer with green accent marks as well as a green skirt with black tights underneath. I looked at myself and thought that maybe I shouldn't wear the tights just in case I break them on the first day. So I changed out of them and into black socks that went just below my knee. Now I was perfect. I grabbed my brown school shoes and headed to the door to put them down. Then I went into the kitchen to have breakfast with my mom.

"Hey mom, what smells so good?" I asked, sniffing the air to pinpoint the smell.

"rice of course," my mom said as she was making a plate, being sure not to face me. As soon as she started to turn around, I saw what she was preparing and my eyes lit up, "and some waffles." I haven't had waffles in so long. And not only were the waffles, but they were Eggo waffles. I haven't had those in so long. Ever since my mom and I moved back to Japan we haven't been able to get our hands on these due to the area we live in, "remember Justing from the states?"

"Yeah, why?" I asked scarfing my face with the waffles like there was no tomorrow.

"Well, he told me that he was coming here on a personal vacation and I asked him to bring a box with him for you. In celebration of you starting at UA."

"I can't believe it, really? Well if you see him again make sure to let him know that I will forever be in his debt." I finished eating and looked at the clock, "all right well I better get going, I want to meet with Midoriya outside the gates before we go in."

"Why? Are you finally going to accept your feelings for him and tell him that you want to be his wife?" my mom asked making heart eyes at me.

"Noooo, I just want to see him before we go in, just in case we aren't in the same class. I want to know he is there for me." I replied with a sarcastic annoyed tone, "and besides, I don't even like him, sure he's a good friend. But that's all we are, friends, you really need to stop pushing for us to get married mom, it creeps him out you know." I said this while grabbing my book bag and heading to the door to put on my shoes.

"Alya, just do something for me alright?" my mom started in a worried tone.

"Yeah, what is it?"

"Would you look after Midoriya? He scrawny and I'm not really sure how he got into UA but I'm scared something bad will happen to him."

"Mom, of course, I will. But you need to give him more credit, after all, he has dealt with boom boom boy for all his life, I think he can take it."

"ok, just look out for him." my mom said feeling more relieved, "I'm so happy for you, look at you, you're already becoming a young adult, no. A young hero."

"You really think I can become a pro hero?"

"Of course my darling. You are going to a hero and so much more."

"Thank you, mom." I gave her a very sincere look that was soon replaced with determination. I stood tall in front of my mom, she had raised me all alone and did a fantastic job. I gave her a clean salute and turned around and headed for UA. Justin was my mom's friend back in America and we would spend a lot of time with him. He was a military brat soI picked up saluting as a form of goodbye from him. He was basically like the father I never had. I don't know too much about my dad but I know he isn't dead. Mom never told me why she left him but I never pried, after everything she has done for me, I can't bother her with more questions. As I'm walking to UA I see a familiar green-haired boy walking with the same uniform on, "Hey Midoriya!" I shouted and picked up my pace to catch up to him.
