Narrators POV:
(Y/n) (M/n) (L/n) was just another mentally ill girl from thousands of others. She tried and tried to get out of the mess in her head but always ended up being unsuccessful.
She felt like she was drowning...
So to combat the chaotic cacophony in her mind she grabbed her headphones and turned the volume up.
As, the first chords hit her eardrums a deep exhale broke out of her lungs.
Music for her was like the first breath after suffocating for so long...
It relaxed her.The songs relaxed her tense body, stopped her racing thoughts and heart; and allowed her to be hit with a wave of relief and serenity.
The maiden closed her (E/c) eyes and let herself be immersed in the lyrics. Her vocal cords pleasantly trembled as she let her voice break free.
The world stopped around her as the chords wrapped her in a warm, welcoming embrace similarly to a blanket or a bunch of silk ribbons.
She would have given everything she had just to stay like this for the rest of her life.
But soon the beat stopped and all the things she tried to escape from came back rushing at her…
It's been years since she started living like this.
Every time she felt overwhelmed or close to breaking down again she ran into the welcoming arms of music.
The feelings that she received whenever a note played brightened the girls mind and whole world up.
The world itself felt so cold to her.
So cruel, so evil, so rotten...People watched others break under all the pressure but didn't even attempt to reach out to help.
Unfortunately, poor (Y/n) grew up in this world.
She was used, abused, harassed, stabbed in the back, bullied and lied to day after day.
As she spiraled down to the abyss they watched her shatter into pieces.
They watched the once so bright and happy little girl grow up to be an insecure, depressed woman full of pain and worries.
At first, she didn't even attempt to get help.
“Others have it worse than me ...” She told herself.
'I can't do this, they'll hate me, they'll judge me...
The'll leave me' these thoughts kept her mouth sealed shut.
They held her back from reaching out for help...She tried fighting her demons for years.
When she couldn't take it anymore she slowly went down that road made of bloodred bricks called self-destruction...
She become guarded, and violent whenever she felt hurt in any way.
She pushed people away and locked her heart up tight. She believed she'll be okay like this.
She thought it's better this way.
But it wasn't meant for the poor (h/c).
The professionals she later on sought out barely paid her problems any mind.
-Come in.
-How have you been?
- How many pills do you have left?
-Here's the prescription and the absence note, have a good day. That's how her visits went.
Soon she stopped going to this so-called “therapy”...
After all why would she waste money she doesn't have on something that doesn't do anything to cure her?As the years passed she found herself with a degree she didn't want, and with a dream so close yet so far away from her...
She had enough points to get into the prerequared course she had to take before learning what she wanted but all the schools starting that were far away from her.
Her mind told her that moving into the college is the reasonable choice.
But her fear screamed at her
' You'll have to live with strangers!
Your mom will try to guilt-trip you to stay with her!
You'll be an outcast yet again.
They'll hate you! 'With shaking fingers she typed in the schools information to the list, and with her heart beating in her throat she pressed the send button.
Soon the message popped up on her screen:

Now all that's left is to wait for it to be rejected...
