11. QUALITY TIME

Perth's P.O.V

I was in the middle of the seminar when Sammy came and sat near me. "I guess interns are not supposed to seat here", I said a bit loud and raising an eyebrow at her. "Just shut up and spill", she said signaling me to keep my voice down. "What?", I asked her pretending I didn't know what she was asking me. "Don't give me that look Perth", she said with an annoying expression. " Hey, I'm your Phi I'm 4 years older than you", I said again raising my voice just a bit to threaten her.

"Okay I'll leave, just meet me outside", she said and left before anyone can see her sitting in our section. I don't want to hide stuff from her but this was not the right time to discuss this.

As soon as the seminar ended I ran out of the room cause the only thing I hated more than darkness was being locked in a room alone. Even the thought of it made me shiver.

I reached home only to see Sammy already in the kitchen preparing tea for us. I went upstairs freshened up and came down. We sat down on the sofa and I told her everything. We never kept secrets. She was happy to see me dating after Matt left.

"A..a Sammy, where should I take him on a date?", I asked rubbing the back of my head. "What would you do without me?", she asked adding to my embarrassment. "Take him out for a movie and dinner date", she suggested. " Hey, that's actually a good idea", I said.

Next day.

We didn't get a chance to meet this morning and I had a 6-hour surgery scheduled so I was not available for lunch. So I texted him about the movie, dinner date, and his reply came in a second.

It was 6 pm and he came to pick me up but I got stuck again and had to cancel the date. But what I didn't expect was, for him to wait for me.
It was almost 9 and I was about to leave, when found him waiting on one of the benches, typing something on his laptop. I went near him but he didn't notice me as he was busy on his laptop.

"You waited?", I asked startling him but then moved his head towards me. "You're here already, What time is it?" he said and checked the time on his watch. "Oh! It's 8:50, I got busy and lost the track of time", he reasoned slightly scratching his neck.

"You should be home by this time Moon would be alone", I said. "She's with her grandma today", he answered. "We should leave now, you must be tired", he said closing the laptop.

"Would you like to continue the date?", I asked hoping he would say yes. "We can't go out for a movie, it's late" he said as his face fell a little making me coo. "Who said anything about the movie?", I questioned. But before I can say more his stomach growled. " So you haven't eaten anything?", I asked but my stomach made the same noise before he can answer. We were dead silent for a few minutes and the we both bursted out laughing at ourselves.. I suggested we should probably fill our stomach first in a nearby restaurant and we left.

It was a small restaurant near the hospital so we walked our way there.
The walk was silent. But when we reached there we ordered the same thing. Our choices match. We were waiting for the food to arrive when he suddenly asked, "So how was your day?", "Good, actually we had a trauma case when I was about to leave and got stuck, but it went well. What about you?", I asked.

"I left earlier today but had to work from the bench and I lost the track of time", he answered rubbing his neck again. I guess this is one of his adorable habits.

We both were so hungry that we didn't even talk much. The silence was not awkward but actually comforting so no one had a problem with it.

We went for a walk in the nearby park. The whole time he was trying to ask something but hesitate. And after I guess three to four minutes he held my hand.
