The feet I was following suddenly came to a sudden halt and I ran in the back of Dominic and stumbled back slightly before looking up confused to why we stopped I sent him a look full of confusion, and a slight bit of fear. His emotionless mask didn't lift as he raked his gaze over my face before shoving the door in front of us open and grabbing my arm to drag me inside. I raked my gaze over the room we just entered my eyes immediately went to a fireplace with big fluffy sofa's surrounding it my gaze drifted to the small kitchen where Dominic was looking through the oak cupboards, I moved my gaze to the table in front of the fireplace photo frames laying atop it. I was surprised to see a young Dominic with a big smile on his face as someone who I presumed to be his dad played with him, my eyes moved to a young lady with chocolate brown hair looking at them fondly.
"Well don't just stand their, go sit down," His deep voice startling me slightly, I slowly walked forward and perched on the edge of the sofa awkwardly, the silence gave my brain time to make up different situations that could happen. My breathing came short and my hands started to tremble I looked around and a sudden wave of dizziness came over me and I felt myself becoming nauseous. I could feel eyes on me presuming it was Dominic looking at me I met his gaze and could only see him standing their and laughing at me memories flashed before my eyes of me laying on the floor as he looked down at me laughing calling me weak and pathetic. I started to sweat, and I could just barley hear someone calling my name trying to break me out of my trance but all I could hear was his voice and all I could see was him repeatedly hitting me and laughing as he did so. I let out at small whimper as I felt someone shaking me slightly and repeatedly calling out my name,
"Audelia! Audelia," Someone shouted, "Fuck, come on sunshine please, " They added, on hearing sunshine my eyes flew open and scanned the room meeting silver eyes full of concern, my breathing came out in short bursts and my hands felt warm, I looked down seeing his big hands clutching my trembling ones,
"Look at me sunshine," He whispered, I met his silver eyes and slowly controlled my breathing and my erratic heartbeat, slowly he let my hands fall back to my lap and stood up and walked into the cosy kitchen, I watched his retreating figure and suddenly a flood of embarrassment washed over me. I attempted to get up hoping to just forget about what happened thinking it may be easier to put some distance between us and maybe he would just pretend it never happened. Taking a deep breath I pushed my body away from the couch before a wave of dizziness flowed over me and I stumbled slightly and fell straight into strong arms already there to catch me,
"Steady, I don't think you can really walk anywhere right now," Dominic commented before slowly lowering back down onto the couch, his hand moved from my waist to the side of my face turning it so I was looking straight at him,
"I'll forget this ever happened," Dominic reassured me and I sent him a look full of gratitude, "but your not going anywhere tonight, you can go back tomorrow but your not fit to be going anywhere today." He brushed away the hair that was attached to my eyelashes before turning my head to the side slightly before lightly dabbing away the blood that was dripping slowly from the graze on my cheek. He raised his hand to my lip before tending to the small cut making me wince slightly. Him tending to my little injuries made my mind wander to the fight,
"So," I started my voice hoarse, "am I going to be expelled or something," he sent me a look of confusion before raising his eyebrow and shaking his head,
"no why would you think that?" he questioned, I looked at him before saying,
"I got into a fight and you didn't look to happy when you told me to follow you," I said shrugging slightly and moving my gaze to the window showing a clear view of the castle. He sighed before turning away and chucking the bloody cloth in the sink, he turned back before leaning against the door frame and returning his gaze to me,
"I watched that fight sunshine," my eyebrows raised slightly and I remembered the slight feeling of eyes watching me and connected the dots,
"It was you," I whispered in realization, he nodded his head,
"That fight was not your fault, she provoked you into that and you won fair and square." He commented before letting out a loud sigh,
"So I'm not.." I trailed off looking at him waiting for conformation, he sent me a nod and I couldn't help the small smile that appeared on my face. We sat in comfortable silence for a while before my light yawn broke it and he walked over to me and lifted me up his arm sliding beneath my legs and shoulders, I let out an audible gasp before sending him a little glare,
"I can get there myself," I said shoving his shoulder slightly, he raised one perfect brow at me,
"So we're just going to forget that when you tried earlier I had to catch you," he commented rendering me speechless.
I rolled over to my side expecting to be met with my white walls covered in pictures but shot up when I was met with dark black walls no decoration evident, I looked down at the black sheets which were now just covering my thighs. My face fell in confusion before everything came back to me and I let out and audible groan,
"And you say we aren't bundles of joy," Dominic his deep morning voice making my head shoot up I was met with messy hair, silver eyes and a slight smirk. I looked down and was greeted with all black clothing and looked down at what I was wearing, the same things as last night just covered in wrinkles,
"You have 10 minutes to get changed and meet me outside on the training field," He said before turning on his heel and walking away. I heard the door slam and jumped up eager to change out of these clothes, I chucked my hair up before jogging out of the house and heading straight for the training field. I saw the 5 of them walking towards me and slowed down slightly before coming to a stop,
"Where were you!" Thalia commented,
"We were so worried," Adhara added. Rhea sent them a scowl before looking over to me,
"Dominic told us she was with him and safe," Rhea said shaking her head,
"Yeah I know, it was for dramatic effect no need to be a fun sponge," Thalia whined,
"I know it's not me your talking about," Rhea replied raising an eyebrow at her
"Well who else would it be," Thalia commented stepping in front of Rhea, I shook my head at the two of them and sent a small smile to Kamaria who was holding back a laugh as well. Rhea looked between me and Kamaria before sending us a glare and spinning on her heel, I couldn't help but let out a small laugh as well chased after Rhea's retreating figure.
"I heard we're getting our dragons today, and finding our magic," Astra said sending us an excited smile. Thalia almost screamed
"What! When, how did you find that out, are you sure I'm so excited," Thalia said sending us a manic like grin. We caught up to Rhea and barley had time to even acknowledge the fact that Dominic was already here before Thalia was bombarding him with questions,
"We're getting our dragons today, wait are we, please tell me we are, when are we getting them," Thalia shouted running up to Dominic, I chased after her before putting a hand over her mouth and guiding her back to where we are all starting, she pushed my hand away from her before taking a deep breathe but before she could get anything out me and Rhea said,
"If you want to get you dragon today-" I started
"You need to shut up," Rhea finished,
"Yes you are going to get your dragons today and we are going now, so follow me," Dominic replied, Thalia's face broke out in a gigantic smile and she was bouncing up and down on the balls of her feet.
