Your POV

I wake up to my alarm ringing and turn it off sleepily. I get out of my comfy bed and hop into the shower, rinsing the sleep from myself.

I step out of the bathroom in a fluffy white towel and head to my closet to put on my new UA uniform. I am so excited to be attending UA!

I wanted to take the Entrance Exam ever since I was three years old. My mum always teases me that I was talking about being a hero before I was out of diapers.

I head downstairs and sit down at the island. "Good morning, Hun! I made you some breakfast. Eggs and toast." My mother laid the plate in front of me and I dug in.

My mother is a sweet woman. She has short purple hair with sticky balls on top just like my twin brother.

Speaking of the devil. "This uniform sucks!" Mineta yelled as he sat down beside me. He looked at me and started grinning. "But the girls uniform rocks!" I groan and slap him upside the head.

"OW! Moooooom!!!" He yelled and put his finger in my face. I slap it away and finish my breakfast before grabbing my backpack.

"Hey! No fighting! Especially at school, I don't want any calls from the school on your first day." My mom chastised before giving us a kiss on out heads.

"Alright, we need to go or we'll be late Minnow." I smirk using the nickname he hated. "Shut up, Tik Tok." I huff and slam the door in his face.

I shove my hands into my pockets and start walking to school. Mineta finally caught up with me at the gate and we headed inside together.

We were placed in the same class which helped my anxiety since I'd have someone I know with me. Although Mineta can be a pain in my butt, he is a good brother and is always there for me.

We both head to the back and I sit in the corner while he chooses the seat beside me. "I can't wait to see all the babes!" Mineta said excited and I roll my eyes.

"You are absolutely disgusting, Minnow." I tell him and rest my chin on my open palm. "Maybe you'd have a girlfriend if you didn't treat girls like porn mags." I smirk and he crossed his arms.

"You haven't had a boyfriend either so shut up!" He whined. I chuckle but go quiet when a man suddenly stood out of a yellow sleeping bag.

"My name is Shouta Aizawa, I am your homeroom teacher. Put these on and head outside." He pulled another bag out and placed them down on some kids desk before walking out.

Everyone kind of looked at each other before starting to get a gym uniform and then heading to the changing rooms.

I make friends with a girl name Mina Ashido. We got changed first and headed out to field to wait for everyone to leave the changing rooms.

"Today we will be doing a quirk assessment. Whoever comes in last will be expelled." Everyone around me gasped.

"You can't do that! That's not fair!" Mina pointed out. He turned in our direction and grinned. It seemed to scare Mina but I found it oddly attractive.

"The world's not far, you think villains are going to be fair?" He ranted a little longer before telling a spiky blond kid named Bakugou to throw a baseball inside of a chalk circle.

The kid threw the ball with his quirk which must have something to do with fire or explosions and screamed "DIE!" when it let his hand.

"Oh dear." A voice behind me spoke. I turn my head and see a boy with curly green hair shaking slightly.

"Are you okay?" I ask him and his eyes snapped to mine. His face started to turn red. "I- Yes! I-I'm okay." I nod slowly and turn back to the teacher.

He was looking directly at me before turning his attention to the group. Why was he looking at me? Maybe it was because I had been talking.

"The first test will be a timed run. I will split you into groups of two and you will race each other." I stop listening after getting the gist and begin scanning the class for Mineta.

I feel a tug on my sleeve and see him beside me. "You okay?" he whispered. I nod slowly. "I might be a bit rusty... I haven't used my quirk since dad..." Mineta tapped my arm lightly.

"It's okay. You'll do great!" I smile and ruffle his hair causing him to huff. "Thanks Minnow." Before he could respond I heard my name being called.

"Since L/n can't seem to stop talking, you will be running against me first as an example." Aizawa said and my eyes go wide.

He began walking over to an area of the field with two starting and finish line drawn. I stand next to Mr. Aizawa and feel my hands shake lightly.

I shake them a little and then clench them into fists before getting in position to run. I take a deep breath to try and calm my heart.

Suddenly a montone voice that didn't come from Mr. Aizawa said "Go." And Aizawa took off. I began to steadily jog after him which confused a bunch of the students. 

I am able to keep up with him until we are about 15 meters from the finish line and activate my quirk.

I am able to pause time for as long as a single heart beat. I run past Mr. Aizawa's frozen form. His eyes are still able to move and he watches as I effortlessly pass him and the finish line.

Time unfroze and he passed the finish line 3 seconds after my time and looked at me emotionlessly. 

"Good run. Denki and Jirou are up next, line up." He walked away from me and headed back to the start.

I make my way back to Mina and Mineta. Poor Mina had to deal with his perverted actions while I was running.

I push him away from her with ease and stand beside her. "Whoa, did you just freeze time!? Is that your quirk?" She asked with starry eyes.

I blush lightly and nod. "I should have been able to use it from the beginning but I stopped using it after... an accident happened." I turn away from her and she gently patted my shoulder.

"It was still so cool! So can you just freeze time?" She asked me after another group was called up to run.

"I can only hold time for a single heart beat. I often meditate to keep my heart rate down but like I said, I hadn't in a while." She accepted my explanation and then she was called to run.

She was grouped with a boy who had spiky red hair and really sharp teeth. He kind of looked like a shark if I'm honest.

Soon enough the run was finished and we began the other tests. I was pretty good at most of the tests even though I couldn't really use my quirk for them.

Mineta did really good at at the side step, he uses his sticky orbs and bounced between them. Finally the assessment was over and a bunch of us were sweaty and out of breath.

Some kid named Midoriya Izuku came in last but Mr. Aizawa said that no one was getting expelled and they just needed the extra push.

We head back to the changing rooms to shower and change before heading back to the classroom and taking a syllabus before heading back to our seats to wait until the bell rang.
