Ever since you lost your family to Titans, it became your dream to join the survey corps. Even though, there was no way to bring back your family, the least you could do was to prevent others from losing theirs. And the best way to do that is join the survey corps and fight off the titans.
Living inside these wall, with uncertainty always surrounding you, and no memory of how humans got stuck in this place has left you feeling pretty depressed in these last few years. Sure, you do your work and complete the tasks that you're given to do. But you're always left wondering whether it all even matters.
Endlessly killing titans, watching civilians die, people losing loved ones. But ever since a young solidier, Eren Yeager, discovered that he's a titan shifter, a glimmer of hope can be seen in everyone's eyes. The scouts commander, Erwin smith and captain Levi became so fascinated with him that they immediately made him join the scouts.
Perhaps, from now onwards, things will be different. You were friends with both of them and watching the commander get excited was an unusual sight. "Isn't this amazing (name)? Maybe we'll finally discover the mystery of the walls and titans!" You were happy for him but it still didn't uplift your mood per se. You still couldn't feel any emotion for your people. If humans can also become Titians then who is wrong and who is right? All this time fighting Titians and now one of our own people is able to shift into a Titan form? Could this be a good thing or not? Your head was flooded with these thoughts.
Erwin noticed your eyebrows frowning to his statement. He asked: what's wrong? don't you think it's great?". "Y-yes it probably is but..." you answered. "But?". "But ...ah nothing I'm just tired and overthinking everything..I'll see you around." He hummed and gave you a nod and told you to take care. You left his office and went out in the garden area are for some fresh air. You laid there on the grass to feel the cool breeze gently caressing your face. The night wasn't too chilly so it was quite pleasant to sit outside and relax. You had no idea why you were getting so worked up. You tried to shut off your brain from thinking too much and without realising you feel asleep in the garden.
"(Name) don't worry we will all be okay, let's run" your mother consoled you as you were crying and clinging onto her hands. Your father and sister were right behind you. The titans had attacked the city and started eating off anyone who stood in their way. You, along with your family, ran for your life but somehow you got separated from your family. You tried looking for them. But it was futile. You didn't know if you should go back to look for them or run forward. You were only a scared child who had no idea what to do and where to look for them.
Alas, you did find them but the sight of their limbs lying around left you so traumatised that you'd wished you die there along with them too. Shivering and shocked, you couldn't even bring yourself to scream, you stood there completely still. Silent. Suddenly you screamed out as loud as you could and started shouting: please take me with you. I can't go on without you all like this. Let me die!!!!!!!"
Suddenly you woke up to someone nudging you and screaming your name. Your opened your bloodshot eyes to see Erwin looking at you with a concerned face. His hands were gently pressed on your shoulders. You were embarrassed to let him see you in such a vulnerable state but unable to control you emotions, you laid your head in your hands and cried further. Erwin didn't say anything but tried comforting you by pulling you close to himself and caressing your back.
