Sebastian tightened his fist around the dagger and attacked again.
Jace jumped to one side, then the daggers clashed again, Sebastian's sending sparks like a dying supernova. They hit, again and again. Jace was quick, but Sebastian was quicker. Their faces were inches apart and then galaxies away, never losing eye contact. Jace's golden eyes sparked as he got into attack position and managed to successfully push Sebastian's back onto the wall. Jace grinned, then he was on the ground, a dagger to his throat and a foot on his sternum.
He could slid back and push away Sebastian's dagger with his, but his hands were hot and slippery, and his mind was tired.
"Okay, okay we're-" He was cut-off by Sebastian's unexpected move; his fingers barely reached the handle of the dagger as Sebastian pushed the blade in deeper, drawing blood, in his face a look of raw anger.
"A demon wouldn't wait," the tip of Jace's fingers tried to pull the the dagger into reach, "a demon has no mercy."
Sebastian's voice was like the Void, feeling nothing but filling everything. The dagger dug deeper. Sebastian's collar was dripping with blood too, the same wound opening in his throat.
"Sebastian-" Jace couldn't reach his blade. "Don't-" he croaked. Then Sebastian put the dagger to his throat, and slit.

Clary screamed.
She tossed and turned as her mouth opened in a wide O and her vocal cords vibrated. Her heart cracked and her body bled.
Her lips formed his name over and over, "Sebastian,"
Then she stopped.
Her whole body shook as she sobbed, her hair covering her face and her hands trembling.
Then, she turned face-down and willed her body to stop bleeding, her eyes to stop crying and her heart to mend itself.
There, she sat up, she was as good as new.

Jocelyn stroked Luke's blond-brown hair, wiping the sweat from his red face with a towel. Clary was asleep back at home, she hoped. She hoped she wouldn't try anything Claryish like going after Sebastian or anything.

Since Simon's and Clary's last meeting, two days before, at the hunter's moon, Luke's condition hadn't improved. Simon was scared. Scared for Luke, but mostly for Clary. He just waited, worried, for the call. That call in which Clary would tell him that she was going after Sebastian. He just waited, at their usual meeting place at Central Park, phone in had, for her to call.
Buzz, buzz.
It seemed like the entire park froze as he brought the phone to his ear and answered.
"Yes?"
"Simon," a strange choking sound on the other side of the line. Perhaps Clary had hoped he wouldn't answer.
"Clary."
"Simon," she- or was it him, Simon wasn't sure- gulped, "i need to find them."
He nodded, catching himself when he remembered that she couldn't see him.
"Okay, what do you want me to do?"
"What? No, 'clary no way you're going i'm calling your mother RIGHT NOW,"
"Would you listen? Or care?"
"You're right,"a soft laugh,"I wouldn't."
"Okay, what do i gotta do?"
"Come to Taki's, i'll explain there."
Then she disconnected.

"Jace," Sebastian took his stele out and handed it to Jace, "do me."
He didn't stop to think at what else his words implied, his eyes were only for Clary and her beautiful hair and green eyes.
Jace drew carefully, his hand gripping Sebastian's elbow as he drew a Strength and a Persuasion rune. Jace slapped his arm playfully, "done."
Then, they both left to get into their gear, despite not being sure they were going to get into a fight.
they met again outside the apartment's door.
"You know where the place is, right?"
Jace repeated for the fifth time, while they were walking around the streets of Madrid, their glamour runes hiding them from tourists and policemen.
"Yes," Sebastian sighed, "it's right around the corner."
A few minutes later, Jace opened the door to a small, cramped shop in a blind-end minuscule street. Behind the counter, a Celeana demon raised up to meet it's costumers.
"Oh, a Herondale again," the demon hissed, "when will your family stop getting in my path i do not know."
