My brain froze as I looked up to Lou. Was he panicking? What was he thinking right now? Mostly, I was also thinking about Carly. We weren't that close anymore but what would she think of us two?
"Hi guys, welcome. Would you like to sit front or back?" Asked Louis with a big smile. I smiled a little too, scared for my life. I squeezed my palms only to realise that I couldn't. Something was blocking my right palm from reaching my fingers. I look down to see that Louis and my hands were interlocked. I looked up in panic to see Lou staring at me, wondering what I would do. I let go and Lou gave me a confused and hurt expression. Amanda snorted and my mind unfroze as I looked to them.
"Um, right this way." I stuttered and gave them a table. Lou stayed behind whilst I hovered to see if they would get anything.
"Is it okay if we order in a bit?" Carly said and I nodded. Then the impossible happened. She smiled at me. When Carly smiled, you knew everything was alright. I smiled back and Amanda pulled a face. Matt was eyeing me so I smiled at him too and walked back to a pissed off Louis.
"Why did you let go of my hand?" Lou asked.
"They're you're friends Louis. Literally yesterday one of them threatened me to back away from you and that you be,longed to Carly." I gulped, guilt rising to my chest.
"Hey, you do know that Carly and I were only flirting to try to make you jealous right?"
"Yep, she told me. I just wish she would tell Amanda that too."
"You know what. Let's go up there and I can introduce you as my girlfriend."
"I don't think that's a good idea."
"I swear if you're still scared of Amanda?"
"No. It's not that. It's just Matt and I didn't really talk after last night. It wouldn't be right if I just..."
"Do you like him?"
"No! Of course not! But we did hang out a lot after we lost touch and isn't it rude if I don't tell him myself." He looked disappointed. "You know what screw it. I am not having an argument with you the day we get together. Here" I take his hand and interlock it with mine. Louis raised his eyebrows. "Introduce me to your friends as your girlfriend if you want to but I don't think half of them will be extremely happy." Lou smiles and drags me halfway there. Nerves start gittering in my stomach.
"Don't be nervous." Lou whispers in my ear.
"How did you know?" I asked.
"You pull on your necklace whenever you are. The one that you never take off, the heart locket." I look down to see my hand was doing exactly what he said. I untangle my hand from the chain and gave him a small smile. When we stood I'm front of the group none of them had the surprised looks on their faces.
"Everyone. Meet my girlfriend, Ava."
"Yeah, Louis. We kind of assumed that after we saw you two making out." Said one of the boys next to Matt. He nods at me. "I'm Jonathan, nice to meet you. You know Carly and Matt but this douche next to me is Rico and opposite me is Amanda and Nikki." I smile. He was friendly for a group that was meant to be the mean popular group. Then again, why would Lou be in that group?
