Who are you

I was stranded at sea, not knowing what to do, constantly shaking. I was extremely frightened by the thought that I would never see my family again.

Tears filled my hazel eyes as they spilled over my cheeks. I never wanted to be lost, and now I was.

I gently hugged my knees, as tears rolled down my face. I had no idea what to do. Until I had a feeling someone was watching me.

I looked around, a little bit scared. But there was nobody. So I continued to hug my knees and cry softly.

I then felt a warm hand on my shoulder. I looked up, and saw a lemur with big yellow eyes, staring at me.

We had quite a long pause, until he finally coughed out, "Are you ok?"

"Not really," I replied with a frown.

"Wait...are you a human?!" he said, slightly shocked. "I've never met a human before!"

I looked at him awkwardly, then said, "Yes, why?"

I could now see that he was actually blushing. "B...because.....you're beautiful....." he stuttered.

I blushed as well, my face red like a tomato. "Th-thanks..."

"Hey, I don't wanna sound weird, but...What's your name?" the lemur asked. "I'm Lemmee by the way!"

"Oh, I'm Lily!" I replied.

"Lily? That's a beautiful name!" Lemmee said, rubbing his neck and blushing.

I felt slightly awkward, but at the same time, I felt quite comfortable around him. He was really cute after all.

I then realized something that split my heart in two. He was a lemur, and I was a human, which meant I couldn't date him...

I felt really sad as tears formed in my eyes. I struggled to fight back tears, but almost failed.

"Lily, are you ok?" Lemmee said gently, his voice grounding my thoughts.

"Um....I...I...I'm not ok!!" I said as I jumped into his arms and sobbed.

"Hey, it's okay....." he said, trying to calm me down. "You'll be alright..."

"I'm sorry," I sniffed, "I'm just sad..."
