Forgiveness;

The next day, I decided on skipping the whole day. I had DADA and I knew the Carrows would pick on me to hurt someone - I didn't want that.

My first stop is visiting Dottie, I haven't seen her for a bit. I knock on the kitchen door and I hear shuffling before an elf finally opened the door, peeking his head through.

"Hello, I wish to speak to Dottie," I smile at the tiny elf.

The elf's eyes widened and nodded, opening the door for me. "Dottie is there!" He pointed to their bedroom.

"Thank you," I smiled and walked over, knocking on the door.

When I didn't hear a reply, I sighed and opened the door. My heart ached at the sight I saw.

Dottie had bandages on both of her hands as she sat on her bed. "Dottie?" I called out. She jumped at my voice but calmed down once she saw it was me.

"Miss Y/n needs to go back," she squeaked.

I closed the door and walked over, sitting on her bed. "Who did this to you?" I asked, my voice cracking slightly.

"Master girl twin," she whispered, staring at me with her big eyes.

That utter, disgusting, absolute wench!

"I am so sorry! What happened?" I asked, taking in her hands and rubbing them slightly to make the pain go away.

She took a deep breath before looking back up at me, "Dottie dropped master girl twin's plate accidentally and Dottie got hands ironed."

I wanted to hurt that wench for hurting Dottie, Dottie is more than a servant, she's my best friend. The fact that anyone had the idea of laying a hand on her made my blood boil.

"I'll be right back," I whispered and hopped off of her bed, walking back outside the kitchen.

I gathered some essentials and walked back into her room. "When I'm sad, I like to eat," I tell her, laying the food down.

"Dottie cannot eat right now," she stammered, shaking her head.

I grabbed hold of her hands and forced her to look up at me. "You're too kind, Dottie. If anything happens, I'll take the blame," I smiled.

She dropped her head down and hopped off her bed, sitting in front of me. "I want this all eaten, I'll help," I giggle, taking a big bite out of the chocolate cake.

"Miss has cake all over her face," Dottie laughed, pointing at the chocolate mustache I happened to make for myself.

I rolled my eyes playfully, "Shut up."

-

I was pretty stuffed after my dinner party with Dottie, my stomach couldn't handle any more food and it was lunch right now.

I decided to head to my dorm and sit in bed, reading a nice book. I don't think I have the stomach for anything else today.

The common room was pretty empty, surprisingly. I headed upstairs to my dorm.

Thankfully, Hannah was at lunch with Neville and the others leaving the dormitory all for myself. I got dressed in a spaghetti top along with some pajama bottoms and got into bed.

"The Notebook" I read out loud to myself.

Mother gave me the book to read during the summer and I fell in love. Over the course of 6 weeks, this is the 3rd time I am re-reading the book.
