Chapter Nine

If the last couple of days have shown Cece one thing, it was that she wasn't ready to become queen. "I'm going to make a horrible queen," Cece said to herself as she flopped into bed, Lex rolled her eyes.

"Today is your first day and you're not even queen."

The knock on the door made Cece's head look up though she wasn't the one to open it, Lex opened the door and was approached his her little brothers face. "Alex? What are you doing here?"

"Princess Cecelia asked for me, she is going to test her powers on me," Alex said excitedly, from being as clumsy as Alex is, he gets into a couple of accidents here and there. His most recent accidents being from last night when he burned his hand making diner, that was when he agree to help.

"She did what?!" Lex turned to Cece, Lex was normally annoyed at Cece and she would always give her a look were her left eye was raised when her right eye was slightly closed. Well she was giving her that look but ten times worse.

Alex picked up on the look as he has been on the receiving end of that look many times, so Alex did on of the only things he knew. "Lex if you get me do this I will take over with your lady-in-waiting work for the next week."

"Make it two week and I'll think about it," Lex crossed her arms as she waited for Alex to give in.

"Fine."

Within seconds of his agreeing Lex left the room but no before saying, "Cecelia if you hurt Alex, you will become on my bad side." Just the thought of being on Lex's bad side made Cece shiver.

Alex took off the wrapping on his and hand turned to Cece, "Okay, so can you heal this?" Alex's hand was a lot more hurt then what Cece had expected, it wasn't bloody or red but it was a brown and skin was falling off.

"OH- woah, that's... How did you say that happened again?" She tried looking at it without freaking out. "Are you sure you're okay?"

His hand stings but it doesn't really hurt, it hurts when he moves his hand or when somebody touches it but his hand by itself doesn't really hurt. "I grabbed a hot tray while making dinner." That's the last time his mum will ever let him make dinner. "How does your hair heal?"

"Apparently if you touch my hair while I sing it heals your wound." Dispite having her powers for a month already it still felt like a prank Eli Ritter was pulling on her or something that wasn't real. She had been so focus on understanding how she got her powers that she didn't even try and learn what those powers were.

Alex put a hand in Cece's hand as she started to sing, "Flower gleam and glow." Her hair turned blonde as on schedule, she couldn't really see what was happening but just by the look on Alex's face she could her hair was working.

After Cece stopped singing Alex removed his hand and looked down at it, he froze for a moment before, "Holy shit!"
